    Updating a Mac pkg Solved

I'm running a trial version of MobiControl (cloud) v15.6 and so far I am enjoying it. I have successfully enrolled MacOS and iOS devices. The main purpose of the Mac enrolment is to distribute our in-house app which is packaged into a pkg file. I created an app policy and added the app to the policy, using App source = enterprise and source = import. The app installed successfully on the target devices. If I want to deploy an updated version of the app, I can't see how to do that. I was expecting to import an updated pkg, but that doesn't seem to be possible. Do I have to delete the app from the policy and add a new one each time I update the app? Thank you.

Does SOTI Mobile Control Support SSO with AzureAD for macOS Computer Login Account? Solved

Hi everyone, hope you are well. Just wanted to check if someone knows if SOTI MobileControl supports Single Sing On with a Microsoft 365 (AzureAD) account, not to the applications inside macOS, but to the computer login needed for the macOS itself. Like in the case of getting a new Mac - the device would be already pre-enrolled with SOTI via Business Manager, then the user would simply need their Microsoft 365 login details to SSO to their Microsoft 365 account and that same account to be used to create a local computer account on the Mac, instead of having two separate accounts. Hope you can help. Wish you all the best.

Mobicontrol agent repeatedly installing single app when it's already installed Solved

As part of my demo/evaluation of Mobicontrol, I setup the base required apps for our company for each device type and enrolled a macOS and a Windows device. Since then, on the Mac, several times a day one of the required base apps (Zoom) get's (re)installed. None of the other required apps have shown any indication of this same behavior on either device. On a whim, I tried removing my existing install of the app and let Mobicontrol reinstall it. However, it unfortunately continues to install the app several times a day. Has anyone experienced a similar issue, or have advice as to where I could look to determine why this is repeatedly being installed. I tried checking the Mobicontrol logs that are available, but I couldn't find any telling information.

    APNS Changes Solved Locked

Hi all, want to ask about this update regarding APNS : Apple currently provides two endpoints for the Apple Push Notification Service (APNS): the original APNS endpoint based on a binary TCP protocol (hereafter referred to as “legacy APNS”) and a newer APNS endpoint based on the HTTP/2 communication protocol (hereafter “modern APNS”). On November 1st, 2020, Apple will discontinue the legacy APNS in favor of the modern APNS. All versions of SOTI MobiControl released to date have leveraged the legacy APNS.  The discontinuation of the legacy APNS means that this change by Apple will impact all customers using SOTI MobiControl to manage their Apple devices. As of November 1, 2020, customers will no longer be able to manage existing iOS & macOS devices or enroll new ones without upgrading their version of MobiControl. SOTI will issue Maintenance Releases for SOTI MobiControl v14 and v15 in order to support the modern APNS and avoid any service disruption.  SOTI MobiControl v15.2 and higher will support the modern APNS and will not be affected when they are released. Recommended course of action for affected customers Customers running SOTI MobiControl 14.x or lower should upgrade to 14.5.1, which will be released in late May / early June, 2020. Customers running SOTI MobiControl 15.0.x or 15.1 should upgrade to 15.1.1, which will be released in late May / early June, 2020. Customers running SOTI MobiControl 15.2 or higher do not need to take any action. For now my client used 14.4.1 version, if they plan to upgrade the version to 15.1, is APNS problem is solved for them?  Thanks & regards, Randy

    MacOS Enroll NSCocoaErrorDomain:3840 Solved Locked

I can install the Enrollment Profile without issue, but when I go to actually enroll a MacOS Catalina device I get this error. I've tried it on three different systems so far today and all give the same error. It says: Profile Installation Failed. The profile "MobiControl Device Enrollment (net.soti.mobicontro.enrollment.phase1:uuid-here)" could not be installed due to an unexpected error. <NSCocoaErrorDomain:3840>
