You can now configure the native VPN Xauth PSK through profiles for Android Enterprise Work Managed devices with an OEM-specific plugin to secure the device network traffic.
With this update, you can distribute unlisted apps to iOS devices using the same App Policy methods you use to search and add the apps from the App Store.
Get a bird’s-eye view of App Policy feedback logs from multiple devices, making it easier to identify how many Android Enterprise devices each error or warning has occurred on.
Configure and deploy your Samsung KSP directly via Profiles for Samsung devices enrolled as Android Enterprise Work Profile and COPE. Administrators can now more easily discover and manage Samsung KSP features within the context of other Android Enterprise Work Profile and COPE profile configurations and avoid needing to create an App Policy.
With a single click, reset multiple configurations to their default value when configuring Samsung KSP for Android Enterprise devices.
Administrators can now generate SOTI Hub reports from the Report section of the SOTI MobiControl Web Console. These reports provide records of device user’s document access data from different repositories in SOTI Hub.
Configuring Signal Service settings is now possible via the SOTI MobiControl Administration Utility. Administrators can specify Signal’s server address, port, logging level, as well as the ability to monitor and Start, Stop, or Restart the Signal service.
Administrators can now create a certificate authority in SOTI MobiControl using SCEP basic authentication, expanding the number of available options for certificate authorities.
We have replaced the API endpoint /iOS/apps/actions/forceUpdate with /common/apps/actions/forceUpdate to separately support force update of apps on iOS and macOS devices through App Policy. Previously, we only supported force update on iOS devices and this upgrade expands support to include macOS as well. Administrators must change to /common/apps/actions/forceUpdate to use these new features. The API endpoint /iOS/apps/actions/forceUpdate will be officially deprecated in November 2023 and will no longer be supported. Continued use of the deprecated version may lead to unpredictable system behavior and is not recommended.
To facilitate improvements to the App Policy feedback logs, we have moved to using a new set of APIs. As a result, we will be deprecating the previously used APIs. The new APIs are available now and we recommend moving to them as soon as possible. As of October 2023, the previous APIs will be deprecated and will no longer be supported. Continued use of the deprecated version may lead to unpredictable system behavior and is not recommended.
These public APIs will be deprecated as of October 2023:
Use the following APIs in place of the deprecated APIs:
On upgrading from a version of MobiControl less than 15.6.0 to version 15.6.0 or higher the following impacts will be observed:
As a result of the above impacts, you may also have to recreate roles in MobiControl and associate them with the correct SOTI Identity users and groups. If you were using SOTI Identity for device side authentication through Add Device rules or Enrollment policies, or if you had mapped SOTI Identity user groups in the MobiControl Shared Device configuration, you must remap these in MobiControl after upgrading. Click here for a detailed explanation on these changes.
