Important Notes About This Release

With SOTI Snap 2026.0.0, there are two distinct modes of operation:

SOTI Snap for unmanaged devices – In this mode of operation, devices are enrolled to SOTI Snap and SOTI Snap apps are deployed to devices without any reliance on SOTI MobiControl.  This is the way the SOTI Snap has always operated in previous versions and continues to be available on request.

SOTI Snap for managed devices – In this new mode of operation, SOTI MobiControl is used to enroll devices into SOTI Snap and SOTI Snap apps are deployed to devices via SOTI MobiControl.  This is now the default mode of operation as it unlocks the true potential of the SOTI ONE Platform.

Release Highlights

Lockdown Apps

Lockdown Apps support enables administrators to easily design custom home screens within SOTI Snap for use in conjunction with SOTI MobiControl’s lockdown offering on Android Work Managed devices. This feature allows administrators to create secure, branded, native-like layouts in minutes using drag-and-drop tools. It provides a polished user experience while controlling what apps and content users can access. Lockdown Apps support a variety of scenarios ranging from unattended kiosk stations and shared devices with frontline worker authentication, real-time, condition driven responses and more.

Deployment of SOTI Snap Apps Using SOTI MobiControl App Policies

SOTI Snap apps can now be deployed using SOTI MobiControl App Policies. This allows administrators to reuse existing device group structures that they have already established in SOTI MobiControl to target the deployment of SOTI Snap apps. This ensures app rollouts are scalable, consistent, and aligned with the deployment of native apps.

Microsoft Exchange Online Integration for Data Export

Microsoft Exchange Online integration allows form submission data to be exported directly to Microsoft Exchange Online mailboxes. Administrators can configure REST API rules to automatically deliver data to stakeholders, enabling secure and real-time workflows without manual data extraction or forwarding.

SOTI Snap AI for App Creation

SOTI Snap’s enhanced AI engine now enables administrators to create apps by describing their ideas in a text prompt. Based on the description, SOTI Snap AI recommends pre-built apps from the Marketplace or generates a ready-to-edit layout. This accelerates app creation and provides a smarter, more creative starting point for development.

Input widgets support automatic navigation between fields. After completing one input field, the app can automatically move focus to the next widget and trigger widget-specific actions. For example, after entering a customer's name in a textbox, the app can automatically launch the camera to capture a delivery photo. This streamlines data captures and guides users through workflows more efficiently.

Support for In-App Sounds

SOTI Snap apps now support audio feedback through sound actions. Administrators can configure apps to play sounds in response to user actions or use Blockly logic to play different sounds for success or failure events. For example, a successful barcode scan can play a confirmation tone, while a failed scan triggers an alert sound.

Microsoft SharePoint List Integration

SOTI Snap apps now support full CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations on Microsoft SharePoint Lists. Using the table widget, users can manage records directly within apps and write changes back to Microsoft SharePoint, creating seamless data flows between SOTI Snap and Microsoft SharePoint.

Export of Files Created During Runtime

SOTI Snap apps support exporting captured form data as local text files in JSON, XML, or TXT formats. Upon submission, these files can also be automatically sent via FTP (File Transfer Protocol) or email. This provides administrators with flexible options for storing and sharing runtime data.
