Upgrade Considerations

Reconfiguring World Map - Enabled Design Studio Files After Upgrade

When upgrading to SOTI XSight 2026.0.0, existing Design Studio files with world map data from versions 2025.1.0 or earlier are automatically migrated to the new format to ensure compatibility with the enhanced Live View experience. After migration, users may notice a slight offset between Design Studio floor plans and their corresponding positions on the Live View map compared to previous versions. To correct any visible offset, simply reconfigure the affected indoor location in Live View. Once reconfiguration is complete, the floor plan will be aligned with the world map, ensuring accurate representation of devices, access points and cameras in Live View.

Migrating App Mappings

When migrating from older versions of SOTI XSight to SOTI XSight 2026.0.0, the following logic applies:

  • App mappings for applications that were in the top 10 in foreground time over the last 90 days across all app categories will have their App Usage collection enabled.
  • App mappings for applications that were in the top 10 in data usage over the last 90 days across all app categories will have their Data Usage collection enabled.
  • Apps mapped to user-defined categories (not System, Regular or Business) that have data collection enabled will have both App Usage and Data Usage collection enabled. Apps mapped to user-defined categories (not System, Regular or Business) that have data collection enabled will have both App Usage and Data Usage collection enabled.

Note: Data for apps that do not meet the criteria above will be deleted.
