Once upgrading to SOTI XSight 2025.0.0, only Cellular Dashboard data (formerly Signal Strength Data) from the previous 60 days will be available.
Standard Topics – A variety of new standard topics have been added. This allows for an out-of-the-box choice of topics that can be added to Views. New topics include Wi-Fi Signal, Cell Net Type, Cell Band, Cell RSRP, Cell RSRQ, Network Switches, Hourly Drops, and many more
Tracking – Three new device tracking methods have been introduced, enabling tracking via a map display or a time-based list display. The tracking modes are:
Configurable Monitoring Window – The maximum time window for caching topic information on a device is now configurable. You can set the window size for a group of devices to be between 2 and 72 hours
Shared Topics – SOTI XSight Live View (Patent Pending) can now be configured to retrieve and cache values from third-party apps via the XT Sock interface. These values are cached for the duration of the configured monitoring window
XT Sock Interface – The interface has been enhanced to allow for a wider range of content delivery to SOTI XSight Live View:
Flags – Devices can now have multiple flags, which can be independently added, edited or cleared. If any flags are active, a summary marker appears on the device icon on the map or in list display mode
System Views – This new type of View allows users to jump directly into SOTI XSight Live View from SOTI MobiControl or other SOTI ONE Platform products with a pre-configured setup
Sensor Matrix – The new Linux XSight agent is designed for use with Raspberry PI devices, which can function as fixed location sensors. These sensors can be installed in a grid or at key locations to provide various metrics. Sensor matrices can be configured for air quality, humidity, Wi-Fi/cellular signal quality, and more
Indoor Location Support – You can now view and track indoor devices on floor maps, as well as business-critical data for each device. In this release, SOTI XSight integrates with Cisco Spaces, Extreme Networks, and Juniper Networks as third-party Wi-Fi positioning data providers for seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor devices
Indoor Location Design Studio – Create custom indoor maps with seamless access to the Design Studio Library from within the Indoor Location Management workflow. The library is a comprehensive list of all images created in Design Studio and can be accessed and incorporated during the "add location" process. Additionally, Design Studio introduces enhanced file management features, allowing users to preview, create, save, delete, and open existing files
Data API – A new API endpoint was introduced with flexible syntax, allowing standard and shared topics to be retrieved from multiple devices over a specified time range
SOTI XSight’s XT Sock now enables real-time vehicle data collection using the OBDII (On-Board Diagnostics) interface. This data can be visualized in SOTI XSight Live View, allowing for the analysis of critical vehicle information. You can gain insight into operational statuses, identify potential issues early, and make data-driven decisions to enhance fleet efficiency.
The redesigned watchlist showcases detailed data, allowing you to select from a wider range of topics for greater customization. It also supports multiple watchlist profiles on a single device, lets you view devices that have departed the watchlist, and offers email notifications for improved traceability. This helps you identify devices needing immediate attention based on your business needs.
SOTI XSight can now integrate with the Zebra Wireless Insights Agent to provide visibility into advanced cellular metrics on supported Zebra devices. Visualize and monitor 80 data points such as network registration failures, current roaming state and packet errors in real time using SOTI XSight Live View or SOTI XSight Watchlist.
SOTI XSight now integrates with SOTI Surf to provide actionable insights into the performance and usage of your web apps via the new Web App Usage Dashboard and Web App Spotlight. Performance metrics allow you to understand the responsiveness and stability of web app via metrics such as time to load, time to first byte, HTTP errors, SSL errors and WebView errors over time. Usage metrics allow you to understand the number of visits and time in foreground for web apps.
This feature is only supported on Android and requires SOTI Surf 2025.0.0 or higher.
SOTI XSight now offers in-depth analytics on your cellular network, providing information on signal power, quality, and network outages, allowing you to reduce downtime and additional charges caused by poor network connectivity. This data can be accessed through a set of time series charts and a new and improved cellular heat map.
SOTI XSight provides an in-depth view of Wi-Fi network performance and lets you track your Wi-Fi usage. The Wi-Fi dashboard monitors signal strength, metered connection usage, network, and access point utilization, and it offers insights on device and access point disconnections. This allows you to troubleshoot issues and optimize business operations.
The data usage dashboard includes new charts that address various business blind spots. With its integration into SOTI XSight, the dashboard has been expanded to cover Wi-Fi usage. Additionally, new charts highlight the most frequently used connections, such as Wi-Fi or cellular, and address issues related to roaming and tether/hotspot connection usage.
SOTI XSight allows system administrators to granularly manage permissions for watchlists, shared topics, and various elements of operational intelligence. These permissions can be configured for SOTI MobiControl roles, groups, and external groups.
SOTI XSight Windows Agent can now be configured to communicate via an HTTP proxy to services hosted outside of its network. SOTI XSight will now support deployments where the SOTI XSight Windows Android Agent network requires outbound communication to route via an HTTP proxy server and is not on the same network as the SOTI XSight Agent Service.
SOTI XSight’s Live Support capabilities are now available for Windows Modern devices, enabling technicians to communicate with device users over text, voice, and video chat. Technicians can start a chat session from various locations within SOTI XSight, including SOTI XSight Live View, Remote Control, Incident pages, and Device Spotlight.
SOTI XSight’s Live Support now allows technicians to receive browser notifications for messages from device users.
SOTI XSight now supports dark and light user interface modes and features an improved menu system for better readability.
SOTI XSight has been localized to display messages, labels, and illustrations in French, German and Spanish.
