    Rename a device with %AUTONUM%

Hi everyone, I found this scrip that renames a device -- devrename -- and tested it with multiple attributes. It works with %SERIALNUM% or %MODEL% etc but not with %AUTONUM% In the Add device rule, the device name can be set upon enrollment of the device based on combination of these attributes. The %AUTONUM% works in the rule but not on the rename script. Is there a way the %AUTONUM% can be used in renaming a device? My plan is to move the device from a staging folder to a specific folder, run the script to rename the device but it needs to set the AUTONUM so it will increment from the last number. TEST%MODEL%%AUTONUM% == TESTTC5700886 --> expected result Thank you in advance.

    Customize Device Naming Macros

Hello, I've been looking around the forums for a solution but haven't really found anything that describes what I want to do despite the many questions about the device naming macros. The main thing I want to do is update the %AUTONUM% macro to start at a given number. Other things could maybe be that I want the %SERIALNUM% to only show the last 4 characters/digits of the serial number or something. We were told that the macros could be customized somehow but I can't find any info on how to do it or what the limits are or anything. I know the AUTONUM starting at a specific number is the main one we want to do. If it is possible to customer these macros, I would appreciate any info or any pointers to find that info. Thanks, Sterling

    %AUTONUM% not incrementing properly?

Using Soti 14.1.2 and enrolling Zebra Android TC8000 devices, when enrolling the devices using the naming convention i specified (Device %AUTONUM%) in the enrollment rule, but the autonumber seems to increment in twos or sometimes threes instead of ones.  Has anyone else seen this issue?
