Hi, We need to disable private mac address for our wireless profiles for iPadOS but I can't seem to find the setting. May I know is this possible by SOTI? If I look at Wi-Fi MDM settings from apple, it seems that setting can be tuned. Do I need to write a custom profile for it? Grateful if anyone can advise on the matter, thank you. Thanks and Regards, Lok
Hi there, we'll use devices from other manufacturers than Zebra too. So i got a Samsung A50 with Android 9. We passed the Google-Settingsmanager with the minimum of settings to made (no Google account; we don't need it for now; no Wifi Settings etc.). We installed the mobicontrol APK on the device and scanned the barcode from Mobicontrol Stage. Then we get the error, that the wireless settings are not able to be set. Mobicontrol got all permissions we're able to give in the App-Tab on device. Mobicontrol is set as deviceadministration App too. But no chance to get the wireless settings set. Is there something we can do or must we set it manually everytime? The device is asking for connection to ELM, do we really need this or is there a way to use it without ELM?
Hello, Can I use MobiControl to assign certificate to a Zebra wireless printer? The customer only support DCOM or NDES protocol. Regards, Tal.
I'm looking into configuring some Datalogic Memor 10 handhelds for some folks that float from location to location. The devices need to have a lockdown screen as they are company owned and only for business purposes. These folks will use a wpa2-eap configuration using their Active Directory username and password. Every time their password changes they will need to change the stored password. Neither the SOTI Settings application nor action://CONFIGURE_WIFI allow for EAP configuration. I'm looking into directly using the built in Android WIFI settings but I can't get the intent to work right. I can launch com.android.settings and bring up that dialog, but if I try to use an intent for something like android.settings.WIFI_SETTINGS the action fails. I know I'm just missing something silly. Any thoughts? Any other thoughts on allowing a user to change their stored password on the device?
We are using some Zebra RF guns in our warehouse. Per a recommendation from Cisco we have turned off Fast Transition on the wireless network, which basically means that the clients stay connected longer. We would like to see if there is anything we can set in Soti to force the client to roam when it reaches a signal threshold.
