Regarding use in outdoor environments, the directly bonded touchscreen and high brightness design (up to 800 nits) offer enhanced visibility and screen brightness for improved user experience.

  AIM-38 features an IP65-rated front cover for water and dust protection. In addition to preventing the ingress of water, oil, and dust, the IP65-rated front cover protects the sensors from interference, making AIM-38 the ideal mobile payment system for commercial catering and hospitality applications.
