SOTI MobiControl 2026.1.2 build 1217 replaces the previous build (1198) posted on August 26, 2026.
Upgrading directly from build 1198 to build 1217 is not supported. Customers who have already installed build 1198 should wait to upgrade to SOTI MobiControl 2026.1.3 or a later version.
In this release, we have addressed several technical issues to improve product quality and stability, including additional improvements to Apple Apps and Books (formerly Volume Purchasing Program) app deployment in multi-server environments.
As of SOTI MobiControl 2026.1.2 build 1217, the Retry button has been removed from the installer to ensure that any failures are fully investigated and the original database is restored before an upgrade is reattempted.
| MC-378456 | Upgrade failures were not reported accurately by the SOTI MobiControl installer. Failed upgrades could be retried against a partially upgraded database, the failure screen did not indicate whether the database was restored to its pre-upgrade state, and upgrades were reported as successful even when some upgrade steps had failed. |
| MCMR-43787 MCMR-44439 MCMR-45393 | After a server upgrade, profiles showed a "Has Error" status and stopped applying to devices. In some cases, previously configured profile payloads were no longer visible. |
| MCMR-45310 | In the SOTI MobiControl web console, searches for certain keyword values returned an error. This issue occurred intermittently in deployments with multiple Management Servers behind a load balancer, where a server could have an outdated view of the searchable device properties. |
| MCMR-45927 | Static certificate payloads remained in a Pushed state and did not install on the device when multiple certificates were sent. |
| MCMR-46212 | Editing an existing Android Lockdown profile removed the http:// or https:// prefix from web-based home screen items, which prevented those shortcuts from opening on the device. |
| MCMR-42500 MCMR-42854 MCMR-43075 MCMR-43378 MCMR-45031 | On iOS devices, multiple issues affected Apple Apps and Books app licensing, installation, and updates, including deployments where the Management Service and Deployment Server ran on separate hosts. |
| MCMR-44902 | Failed to edit or save Android Lockdown profiles when the lockdown home screen contained menu items with duplicate display names. |
| MCMR-45004 | Long device property names in the profile assignment filter criteria overflowed the display area and were not fully readable. |
| MCMR-45152 | The Reports page and scheduled reports loaded indefinitely after a server upgrade. |
| MCMR-45251 | The upgrade handler service logged errors while processing certain profile payload data during a server upgrade. |
| MCMR-45390 | Wi-Fi certificates failed to install on Android devices, leaving the associated profile pending indefinitely. |
| MCMR-45657 | iOS VPN configurations failed to apply on MobiControl instances configured with a custom Deployment Server port. |
| MCMR-45744 | Deployment Server CPU usage remained at 100% because Android app catalog requests performed unnecessary certificate processing for Managed Google Play applications. |
