Description

SOTI Snap has successfully upgraded its servers to support TLS 1.3, the latest and most secure version of the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol.

Please note the following:

  • TLS 1.2 support will continue for the foreseeable future to ensure compatibility with existing client systems.

  • TLS 1.1 is now deprecated and no longer supported as part of this upgrade, in alignment with industry best practices and security standards.

  • Client applications using TLS earlier than 1.2 (for example, TLS 1.0 or 1.1), to connect with SOTI Snap Developer APIs are no longer supported. Customers in this scenario must upgrade their TLS version.

  • Devices running Windows versions earlier than Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 will not support the updated TLS protocols. As a result, SOTI Snap Link will stop functioning on these machines after the server upgrade.

  • We strongly recommend upgrading client applications and systems to TLS 1.3 to take full advantage of improved security and performance.

Note: This upgrade is part of SOTI's ongoing commitment to enhancing the security, performance, and reliability of SOTI Snap services. There is no impact on your current operations if you're already using TLS 1.2 or higher.
