When upgrading from earlier SOTI XSight versions to SOTI XSight 2026.1.0, reconfigure the attachments storage path during installation or from the SOTI XSight Administration Utility. For more information, see the SOTI XSight Online Help.
Multiple SOTI MobiControl instances will no longer be supported for a SOTI XSight instance with version 2026.1.0.
After upgrading SOTI MobiControl to 2026.1.0, the SOTI XSight installer must be rerun in Repair mode, or SOTI XSight must be upgraded to 2026.1.0, to restore full functionality including SOTI MobiControl data synchronization.
A new set of public REST APIs enables third-party IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms to integrate directly with the SOTI XSight Workbench. External systems can launch a Workbench with a pre-selected action (such as Remote Control), associate devices, manage diagnostic activities and sync workbench data. Full API documentation is available through the published Swagger UI and OpenAPI specification, with a new integration settings page in the SOTI XSight web console giving administrators control over third-party access with role-based permissions.
Technicians and end users can now send and receive file attachments, including images, documents, videos, audio, logs and archives, directly within active chat sessions. All transfers are routed securely through the XSight Agent Services Data Stream (XAS-DS) channel, while administrators can manage permitted file types using an allowlist or denylist configuration.
Live Support chat sessions now display in-line events, such as participants joining, leaving or being transferred directly in the conversation timeline. Combined with notifications across the SOTI XSight web console, Android and Windows, this ensures users stay informed about what's happening in the session in real time.
Technicians and device users can now exchange files such as images, documents, logs, videos, and more directly within a Live Support chat session. Uploads and downloads show real-time progress with the option to cancel. Administrators can control which file types and sizes are allowed while all transfers remain encrypted. Shared files are included in the downloadable session history for easy reference after the session ends.
Note: Chat attachments require SOTI MobiControl 2026.1.1 or later.
The Smart Battery Dashboard now includes a dedicated Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Battery Health column with capacity-based fallback and support for custom-rated capacities per battery model. New Battery Charge Cycles and Last Reported charts improve visibility, along with stale battery detection rules that flag batteries not reporting for extended periods.
Users have the ability to send function keys, keyboard shortcuts (such as CTRL + C and CTRL + Z), middle and right mouse clicks, click and drag, and touch inputs (such as tap and tap and hold) during Remote Control sessions. Pinch to zoom, screen rotation and panning gestures are also now available for easier device navigation.
Remote Control now supports Linux devices that use the Wayland display server protocol. This enables technicians to remotely access and manage a broader range of Linux endpoints directly from the console.
Note: This feature requires the SOTI MobiControl Linux Agent 2026.1.0 or higher.
Technicians can now launch a Remote Terminal session directly from any SOTI XSight Dashboard as a device action. This streamlines troubleshooting by removing the need to navigate away from the dashboard to open a terminal connection.
Users can now create and schedule CSV reports that contain App and Data Usage broken down by app for all devices in an Analysis profile. Reporting is also available for the Snap Lockdown Analytics Dashboard, providing greater visibility into device usage with SOTI Snap Lockdown.
The SOTI XSight Smart Battery Dashboard now supports tracking and management of the CipherLab RK 35/36/38 series and RK 25/26/95 series of devices.
Support has been added for tracking and managing iMin Swift 2 Pro smart battery devices in the SOTI XSight Smart Battery Dashboard.
Users now have the ability to test their Global Proxy configuration before applying it to their instance.
SOTI XSight now integrates with the Cisco Spaces Firehose API to support real-time, streaming-based indoor location data. This update improves tracking accuracy, enables smoother SOTI XSight Live View* updates and ensures scalability for high-density environments, while maintaining compatibility with Cisco’s latest platform. Customers can activate the SOTI XSight app from the Cisco Spaces Partner App Dashboard and use the provided activation token to integrate their data provider in SOTI XSight.
Upload multiple access points across indoor locations using a single CSV file to significantly reduce manual setup time. This feature streamlines large-scale deployments and ensures consistent, accurate access point data across all sites.
SOTI XSight can now automatically import access point locations from supported indoor location data providers, including Aruba Central, Cisco Spaces, Extreme Networks and Juniper Networks. This eliminates the need for manual setup or bulk uploads, ensuring accurate and up-to-date access point placement across all locations.
Onboard multiple cameras across locations using a simple CSV file to significantly reduce manual setup time. This feature streamlines large-scale deployments and enables teams to start monitoring operations faster.
View multiple camera feeds simultaneously in SOTI XSight Live View for improved monitoring and faster decision-making. This enhancement eliminates the need to switch between individual streams, allowing teams to maintain better situational awareness across locations in real time.
SOTI XSight now supports MJPEG media streams for ONVIF-compatible cameras, expanding compatibility alongside existing H.265 support and enabling more flexible camera integrations.
SOTI XSight now includes floors and data providers in the Feature Access page within Roles and Permissions. This allows administrators to control access to floors management and data provider integrations for roles such as Technicians, Viewers, and BYOD users.
