Important Notes About This Release

App data is now sent for categories of apps and not a per app basis. To ensure specific apps are excluded from data collection, you will need to move those apps to a category that does not collect data prior to upgrading to SOTI XSight 4.3.

The Self-Service Portal feature is not available in this release. It will be made available once again in a future release.

Upgrade Requirements

Minimum system requirements for SOTI XSight 4.3 and above are updated to include .NET Desktop Runtime 6.0.12 and ASP.NET Core Runtime 6.0.12 (Hosting Bundle).

Release Highlights

Live Support

SOTI XSight now offers the ability for technicians to communicate with device users over text, voice, and video chat. Technicians can also start a chat session from SOTI MobiControl, or from various locations in SOTI XSight such as Remote Control, Incident pages, and Device Spotlight.

Enhanced Remote Control – BlitFire RC

We have created a new remote control pipeline that improves the performance of the screen mirroring feature to industry leading levels. By leveraging innovative technologies, BlitFire RC brings instant remote control performance to the technician’s hand.

Shift-based App Usage

Application usage can now be viewed over the course of a defined shift. This provides technicians visibility into what devices are being used for during workhours.

App Categorization

SOTI XSight now enables app categorization and mapping from the web console, meaning you no longer need to open a separate admin utility to access these features.

Multi-battery Support

SOTI XSight now provides support for Panasonic FZ-A3 dual battery devices as part of your Smart Battery dashboard, expanding the options available.

Battery Life Predictions

You can now predict the life of your batteries. By configuring thresholds for current capacity and charge cycles you can now view battery life predictions based on historical data.

Watchlist Improvements

The device watchlist now requires technicians explicitly mark that violations are acknowledged, preventing the accidental loss of important notifications. You can also now directly create incidents from the watchlist for devices violating policies, making the process quicker and smoother.
