Is there a method available within Soti to have a package install on device boot? I'm know that I can use the startup folder in several ways to run the package install but for security reasons I would prefer not to do it that way.

hei i just enrolled my laptop (windows 10) and now i want to push app use Rule App Catalog.. i already made the Rule, and choose the msi file with command /quiet.. (i wish silent installation in my laptop).. but after assign the rule, the program (i test with Opera program) status only "installing" and it never change to installed.. Anyone facing the same problem?
We're using the lockdown screen in Windows 10 Embedded and the default onscreen keyboard you can turn on and off is tiny and you can't seem to do anything with the size of it. If users use this tablet with an external keyboard plugged into our cradle, then it's almost unusable. Do I just need to find an external keyboard and bring it in as an application? Wasn't sure how this would work in lockdown if we want to use it with the apps we launch. Will the new app be the primary window and throw the keyboard app behind? Just looking for a way to solve this. Maybe I'm missing something with the keyboard built in. Version - 14.2.1.4394 Windows Desktop Classic Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Hi, we have a mobicontrol v14.2 platform and we recently enrolled our company pcs (Lenovo Thinkpad T480 Windows 10). We created some profiles containing custom packages to install applications and perform some powershell scripting. All the packages are installed in a specific order using dependencies in the profiles configuration. Sometimes some devices report this errors in the logs: Profile "XYWZ" version 2 failed to install, because all of its payloads cannot be installed. And after that log the device uninstall all the previous packages: Package "X" version 0.0.4 has been uninstalledPackage "Y" version 0.0.3 has been uninstalledPackage "Z" version 0.0.1 has been uninstalledPackage "W" version 0.0.1 has been uninstalled ....and so on till the first package of the first profile Do you know why this happen? Are we using depencies uncorrectly? In our case dependencies are required to prevent installation conflicts during the applications deploy. To prevent this behaviour we tried to deselect the flag "Uninstall package contents upon profile revocation or deletion" in the options during the profile assignment but it didn't change nothing. I am unable to get the Legacy plug In to work so I was instructed to install MOBIAssist. With the legacy plugin for Remote Control I was able to drag and drop files to and from the terminal. Using the file explorer tool. With MOBIAssist if I select file I am able to download files from the device by clicking on them, however it doesnt appear as ift here is a way to Upload files. Please advice as to what I am missing.

I attended the SOTI partner event and I could swear that they said a brand new install of MobiControl version 13 would not have some of the components (ex. TLS 1.0) to support Windows Mobile/CE devices. It was suggested that the best way to support Windows Mobile/CE was to start with a version prior to 13 and then upgrade to 13. Are there any documents out there that can clarify this situation? Thanks much.
Hi I am trying to add the Serial# & Model to a lockdown screen for a Motorola MC9190 WM6.5, for Android MC33 I used the following %MODEL% %SERIALNUM% which works well but this does not work for WM6.5. For WM6.5 I used the following below: Hostname: %MCDEVICENAME% gives me the hostname Serial Number: %SERIALNUM% gives me *NOSERIALNUMBER* Model: %MODEL% gives me %MODEL%
Hi, One of my customers is interested in getting more details into the certificates that SOTI mobicontrol uses. I took a look into the utility dashboard and there are all my certificates. When looking into those, I noticed that most of the certificate are sha-1 encrypted. I am on SOTI 13.4. Has Soti already upgraded these certificates to sha-256 in their latest versions?
Hi everyone, Last week, one of our customers logged into our SOTI environment and put in a couple of scheduled changes. As we noticed, the scheduled changes came up in the Mobicontrol webconsole as being done by "System" and not by the actual user. Since the SQL database saves the login it wasn't a problem to find out who logged in that morning and we quickly find out who it was by doing the right query in our SQL database. But one thing we notice. The login in our SQL database is only saved for 24 hours before it's being delete! Does anyone know a solution to extend the time to save the login data? Note, the query we set up was made to find the "Username" who logged in, not the IP address (since we have multiple customers who are able to login, we don't want to track IP's)Anyone any idea??
Like the title says, for some reason the deployment sever crashed in the middle of the night and there was nothing to see in the Utility Manager of Soti. When seeing the logs, Im guessing that my server requirements aren't good enough. This is part of the MCdeplSvr.log. Hi, I recently upgraded to Mobicontrol version 14.2.1.4394 Now when i log into the web interface i get this error: Deployment server error (Error get file "MobiControl1421.apk" from database to "C:\ProgramData\SOTI\PkgStore\Update\MobiControl1421.apk".) This is correct since the file Mobicontrol1421.apk isn't located in that programdata folder. The only file i see there is SamsungElmMobiControl1421.apk. Is there a way we can fix this or remove this error message? It is very annoying and we don't seem to be able tot do anything about it...? Thx
