What is the color Quality configuration by default ? Is it possible to put the color quality to Medium (8bit) by default ?
Hello all, I have a tablet Panasonic FZ B2 under android 6.0 On this tablet , i have a mobicontrol client on version 1330 1110 since several month. All works fine but we need to update the tablet with some news feature and restriction. we 'd like to update this tablet with soti surf and new version of client mobicontrol. For this, i have create a profile and on this profile i have put inside two packages (package studio) - first position : client mobicontrol on last version - second position : soti surf => download from the site (https://docs.soti.net/soti-mobicontrol/downloads) result is client is well installed and connected but ...soti surf isn't installed ...and no information about what's happen's ... no error, profile is on status installed. If i change on profile the order of installed package : - soti surf - mobicontrol client Result is the same ...soti surf not installed Of course, if i installd all apk manually all works Any idea ? thanks
The test installation of MC 14.2.0.2894 works fine, all network settings on firewalls are set, phones are connecting to servers, getting all settings and can be managed. There is one disadvantage. When the phones are connected inside the network via WiFi, I see all the profiles in MC Agent (and they are applied to device). When the phone is connected to the server outside the network (via 3G or any external channels, traffic to the server goes through reverse proxy), everything also works, all profiles are applied, but the list of profiles is not displayed on the phone (see topic). Some log's investigation suggests that this list of profiles for MC Agent is an XML document that does not come from the deployment serer to the phone due to the presence of reverse proxy. This is not fatal, but causes inconvenience in cases of remote troubleshooting involving the telephone operator. What settings can you advise for network diagram and|or reverse proxy to correct the situation? By the way, there is a working version of MC 12.2.0.23465, which is not behind the reverse proxy, but behind the NAT, and there the profiles are displayed normally on enrolled phones.
We're use MC 12.2.0.23465 with about 150 Samsung phones, half of them GT-I8552 (Android 4.1.2, agent 12.2.0.23440, API Samsung MDM v3, RC +) and the rest GT-I9300I (Android 4.4.4, Agent 12.2.0.23440, API Samsung MDM v5, RC +). We want to begin replacing phones with modern Android 7+ with Enterprise connectivity, but we cannot replace phones at once due to economic and technical reasons. Old Samsungs cannot work in the latest MC 14.2 version (14.2.0.2894 in test). New phones with Enterprise configuration can not work in the old MC 12.2.0.23465. Which version of MC should we choose to upgrade in order to continue using old phones and start gradually using new ones, for example, Moto Z or Samsung A7? I feel that it must be one of 13.x-th? Where can I download this intermediate version for testing? I have not found any links to older versions for upgrade path's described in the SOTI documentation.
Zebra Android Devices, I'm trying to work out a staging routine that when devices drop into a folder they are updated to the correct firmware version and device configuration. Then after that is done the applications and lock screen is attached. Is there a way to put in some kind of IF statement that says if the firmware != then install this firmware build. I can push firmware already through profiles but devices that already have that firmware still get the firmware downloaded and reinstalled. Also I tried using the prerequisite settings for packages, but they fail if the prereq isn't met and never try again even though the prerequisite has been installed. I'm fine with using scripts to accomplish this, but haven't seen the ability to pull the firmware as a variable.

Is there any way to disable the Almost All Licenses Used Announcement? It is super annoying, and there is no way I'm ever going to have less than 95% of my licenses used.
I'm fairly new to MobiControl so I'm wondering if it's possible to run some sort of maintenance on Android devices by sending scripts etc. Some problems the users are facing with their devices are not resolved by a simple "reset" script. Is there some sort of built in feature available by Soti? Or do I need to use an app like "Device Maintenance" the built in app by Samsung? If it has to be an app then is there a way to automate the process using MobiControl instead of having to do it manually? I looked at some help documentation provided by Soti and I was able to run "Device Maintenance" by starting the activity using "Start com.samsung.android.lool" but all that does is open the app. Is there a way to use a script to interact with the app and have it scan + fix any issues it finds or am I asking for too much?

I would like to get it ...but i can"t find it on the tablet ... Normally, all apk who is installled on a device can be find on sdcard / android / data / I'm not an expert but i remember have read this on stackoverflow :) well, i would like to get an old client mobicontrol version number 13 33 1010 but i can't ! I've try to download on soti web site some old APK but the version 13 33 1010 doesn't exist .. Any idea about how to get this apk ? thanks for your time
Hell all, I work with a tablet Panasonic FZ B2 under android 6.0. On this tablet , BEFORE we have a short cut who launch an URL ... For some security reason, we have create a lock down (html page) who contains just Href tag. We open this Href with SOTI SURF ...because with browser soti surf URL Address bar is hide ... All works fine ..great .. I have question about the standard about soti surf and chrome. Because our private web site before was used with chrome and TESTED with this chrome browser. Could you confirm that soti surf browser has the same html standard than chrome ? Or it's better to test the URL with soti surf BEFORE to push the lock down in production ? thanks for all
I was told by the sales rep who set us up with our trial that we can use MobiControl to configure granular settings such as the synbology settings and enterprise WiFi settings (Channels enabled, band selection, etc..) on out Datalogic DL-Axist device. I'm not seeing those settings anywhere. Is this not possible?
I'm working on a trial license performing a POC to see if MobiControl would be a viable solution to meet our needs. I've created a profile. configured various settings, enrolled a device to the profile, created a package with SotiSurf, added it and deployed it to the profile I'm testing with and it did install to the mobile device. While I do see the SotiSurf app was deployed to the device, I'm not seeing any of the customizations I've made via the MobiControl app itself. I'm expecting it to display the deployed SotiSurf app locked down in Kiosk mode, however it doesn't show the app in there and if I go to Device Configuration --> Profiles, it reads "Failed to retrieve list of profiles". I've read multiple articles online on how to configure this and I believe I've followed them correctly. Anyone have any ideas?
Is there a way to send a script to a group instead of having to view the devices in the group and selecting all via radio button? This also requires that the "Include Subgroups" option would have to be enabled to get the desired effect. Why was this a feature in v13.x but now removed in v14.x? We typically use the send script function in order to add script templates in bulk during our initial build process which means we do not have any devices enrolled. Is there a more simple approach to add script templates that doesn't require going through the send script process?
Hi, has anybody experience in changing the vpp account? Our company has a new DUNS and we have to create a new account for VPP because it isn't possible to change it. We will use the same account which is already in use with Apple DEP. At the moment we are using an additional account for VPP with our old DUNS. Questions: What happens on the devices if I change the vpp token? I would like to avoid that all VPP-apps will be removed from the devices. Best regards, Marcel
