Hi everyone, I would like to delete a file on an Android device using the MobiControl Package Studio. The files were also copied to the device via a package. There is the possibility to add scripts in the Package Studio. Does anyone have any idea how I can use this to delete the files? Soti Mobicontrol 2024.01
For Android+ I have setup a package that has files that need to be in place before APKs are installed. Does the order of files listed in Package Studio matter? Is the order an install order? I can't seem to reorder so do I need to delete everything and make sure my file copies are at the top of the list? Yes I do sometimes get an error that the file is not in place (but not always).
Hello, I have several Zebra devices (TC20, TC25, TC26 ...), for which I have created different profiles (Android Enterprise) in Kiosk mode (Lockdown). In all of them, I install Datawedge and the configuration profile, using a package The thing is, I can't get the profile to copy correctly to the location I want, so that it self-applies. Routes: (Image1) Source: D:\_SOTI_\DEVICES\PDAS\TC25\Configs\Datawedge\dwprofile_TC25.dbTarget: /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/datawedge.db or Target: %sdcard%/Android/data/com.symbol.datawedge/files I can't get this file to be copied to the specified destination! I also tried to perform a rule and it does not transfer to the desired location either. Hi, one of our clients is experiencing a very strange behaviour of Package Studio. When they remove the reference to the previous version of the .apk file from the package project file and add a reference to the new version, the path to that file doesn't include the drive letter. This results in an error when the project is built, because the file cannot be found. Is there a particular reason for that behaviour, or is it a bug? Regards, Daníel
I created a simple package that includes a simple powershell script. I set the property on the file (in the package) as auto execute. The script is installed ok, but the script is simply "opened" with notepad. I even tried changing the app associate with the script file type from notepad to powershell but that made no difference. Any suggestions? A.
Hello, I have a problem, one of my colleague is not in the office for the moment -> day off for 3 weeks. I have the file pcg (package studio) and i would like to get the apk inside this file ... is it possible and how ? thanks
Possibly caused by recent Windows 10 updates. Studio launches and allows selecting folders but crashes when creating project. Does not crash if only selecting files. Have tried running as admin and in various compatibility modes.
Hi there, we install some apk with Package Studio. But how to install an xapk? Is there a way to do it with package studio too?
Hello all, I work with mobicontrol on version v13.3.3454 and i have just one device Zebra TC75X under android -> 7. Enrolled by android+ On this device when I install a app, the app ask me the to accept permission. For to avoid this, with zebra StageNow, i have made a xml file for to install this app in mode silent -> permission are not demand to the user. That's work fine. But my problem is, I have create a package studio, right click add a file (appName.apk) and for the destination file /sdcard/AppToInstall the folder AppToInstall is create by a pre install script -> work every time My problem is, the profile is always well installed but the apk it's never INSIDE in the folder AppToInstall !!! I've try to change the destination path with add / or delete / before sdcard ...but nothing work.. Also, I have open again the package studio an replace the apk file by a file txt file, replace the package inside the profile -> assign profile -> result the file is well inside the folder AppToInstall :) Someone can tell me, how i can copy an apk to a folder inside the folder structure ? That's enough strange .. thanks for your time

Within the coming months, my company will be moving from Windows to Chrome OS and I can't seem to find an alternative way to build a package without MC Studio.exe. Any thoughts or suggestions? Many thanks, John
Is it possible to script package studio to automatically build a package. I can automate uploading and editing profiles via the API, but I can't find a way to use package studio with a command line to build a new package. Am I missing something?
Hi All, I am having an issue uploading a package that has been created by myself with a version string "0.72". When uploaded I get the following error: A Package named 'XXX_XXX_XXX_XXX' with internal version '11.0' already exists for the specified platform 'AndroidPlus'. Rebuild the Package using Package Studio and upload again. Rebuilding the package with the same version string "0.72" and uploading again will show the error: A Package named 'XXX_XXX_XXX_XXX' with internal version '12.0' already exists for the specified platform 'AndroidPlus'. Rebuild the Package using Package Studio and upload again. Has anyone else come across this before? Will this need to be raised to support? James

In MobiControl - Package Studio, one has the option to activate 'Prompt for Installation'. However, this does not seem to work? The package gets installed without notification/question to the end user Environment = SOTI 14.2.1.4394 Panasonic FZ-N1 enrolled with Android Enterprise SOTI MobiControl Agent (13.6.0.1567), in Work Managed Device mode
