Using writesecuresetting in Android Javascript script to update Private DNS Solved

I've successfully used writesecuresetting in a legacy script to update the private_dns_mode and private_dns_specifier of phones running Android 13 and Android 14. Here's a working example: writesecuresetting -glo private_dns_mode hostnamewritesecuresetting -glo private_dns_specifier profilename.dns.nextdns.io However, I want to write a script that periodically checks to ensure that setting is still set, and corrects it if the user changes it. Also, I want to change the DNS specifier string based on the phone name and various other settings. I'm comfortable writing the necessary javascript logic, but I can't find a way to run writesecuresetting to change the setting. This seems like a significant oversight (either in the API design or on my part), and adding this would open all sorts of scripting possibilities. This may be an XY problem, so feel free to point me to a better way to do this. Edit: Just realizing this would be entirely possible if there was an API to run shell commands. That would open up all sorts of opportunities for more powerful scripting.

    Feature request: enhanced kiosk mode

By which means can I create a feature request to SOTI? More specifically: we will be managing a few hundred mobile devices, organized in 10+ device groups, each with a specific Kiosk profile. This requires some effort when a new app must be added to the kiosk screen when multiple device groups are affected/involved. Suggestion: the possibility to define a list of kiosk menu items, only displaying items of type 'Launch://' when the package is present on the device. This way, we could configure the kiosk screen only once, and re-use this for all device groups

Remote control desktop plugin: change default video color quality settings (too much traffic in highest color)

Is there a way to change the default video color quality settings in the desktop remote control plugin of MobiControl? Whenever I start a new session, it always defaults to "Highest Color (32-bit)". This is unfortunate because many of our customers' units connect on cellular, have tariffs billable to the MB, and a short remote session with the highest color quality is known to take up dozens of MBs of traffic. Besides, I have the impression that the video on the remote control plugin initializes more slowly because it starts with he highest quality. Sometimes all you need is to retrieve some files, kill/restart processes, send scripts, etc., so the video streaming is not always needed. I'd like to change it to "4 Shade Grayscale" by default. I don't find this in the "Edit" settings, although there are other settings which are persistent, such as "File Extension Mapping", which is a neat way to have a preferred text editor to open up device logs and other text files. So maybe this would be a feature request? Would appreciate any help.
