Hello, Recently we started using Panasonic FZ-S1 Android 10 tablets. We've installed the v14.5.3.1017 OEM specific MobiControl device agent and the corresponding plugin and everything seems to be responding fine. We're using a profile with a lockdown and an authentication password. And now when you reboot the device it's got problems with deciding which default launcher it should use. The screen is on and active but stays black. After a while, it warns that MobiControl is unresponsive and gives the options to either wait or close MobiControl. Waiting for MobiControl to work just keeps resulting in the same error, but if you close it down it offers the option to select another launcher: Quickstep, Panasonic Enterprise Launcher, or MobiControl. Only if you select Quickstep (which is the 'normal' default launcher), the tablet responds and shows its normal screen. If you select MobiControl, you end up in the same errors as mentioned before. That's not what we want though, we'd like to have MobiControl show it's lockdown screen. Only if you select Quickstep and choose to "always" use it as its default launcher and then re-open MobiControl, it'll show its lockdown screen and will work properly untill you reboot the device. Does anybody have an idea what we could do about this? Kind regards, Theun SchellekensMobiCoach B.V.
We have over 300+ Panasonic FZ-X1 handheld devices and we need to check the battery serial numbers. I noticed at this link that this is something that Data Collection can collect. My issue is that we have Mobicontrol v.14.2 and not v14.4 (from the reference pages version below). When my collection rule is setup, Battery Serials aren't being collected. Do we need to have Mobicontrol v14.4 or can this information be collected with v14.2? https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v14.4/en/console/devices/monitoring/datacollectionrules/check_batteryhealth.html Please be aware that the Panasonic FZ-X1 is running agent version 14.1.1.1003 and device plugin 1.16.0.100.

Greetings, We have at least one customer who has asked if there is any way to "black out" the remote device's display when they remote control into the device. The reason behind this is to hide things like administrative passwords when they are being typed. On certain devices, the typed character is displayed momentarily before being replaced by an asterisk when a password is being entered, and they feel that this might compromise the security of the device and/or apps. Our customers use the Android+ agent on Panasonic FZ-A2 tablets, but are looking to migrate to Android Enterprise. I have looked and cannot find any such capability within SOTI. I am open to suggestions, even if they are not within the SOTI functionality. Thanks, CraigESO SafetyPAD
We are having an issue where many of our Panasonic FZ-A2 Android devices keep disconnecting every few minutes, then reconnecting a few minutes later. The devices are connecting to the network via 4G LTE connections, not via WiFi. Accordingly, in the device log they are showing "Device disconnected", and then a few minutes later showing "Device connected". I am suspecting this is an issue with the 4G connection, and possibly even the SIM card. However, the amount of devices having this error leads me to question if something else is going on. The disconnecting of the devices is causing some issues with some of the real-time apps running on them. If anyone has any suggestions on where to look next or preferably a solution it would be greatly appreciated.
