Battery Serial Number from Panasonic FZ-X1

ABELL PEST CONTROL INC.

We have over 300+ Panasonic FZ-X1 handheld devices and we need to check the battery serial numbers. I noticed at this link that this is something that Data Collection can collect.

My issue is that we have Mobicontrol v.14.2 and not v14.4 (from the reference pages version below). When my collection rule is setup, Battery Serials aren't being collected. Do we need to have Mobicontrol v14.4 or can this information be collected with v14.2?

https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v14.4/en/console/devices/monitoring/datacollectionrules/check_batteryhealth.html

Please be aware that the Panasonic FZ-X1 is running agent version 14.1.1.1003 and device plugin 1.16.0.100.

Hello All,

Updating this thread with the results of the Support case that was created:
We have confirmation from our OEM team (and documentation provided by Panasonic) that the FZ-X1 is not supported for this feature.

This is being corrected in our help documentation.

Regards,

Hello Joel,

Thank you for requesting a response from SOTI Staff,

Unfortunately, this specific feature is only available in MobiControl 14.4 and above versions.

Actually, I found out we're running 14.4.2.1307. So we do have 14.4v. I've created the device rule to collect the Battery data but no results show up on any Panasonic FZ-X1 devices.

If you use the same data collection rule to get battery level and battery serial number, and you can get data collected for the former but not of the latter, then it is likely that the battery serial number information is not available or not returned by related software modules managing battery on the system.   I have encountered many devices of different brands and models from which no battery serial number is returned.

Hello Joel,

Thank you for your response,

In requirement, device plugin must be 1.16.5.11 or later and in your case device plugin is 1.16.0.100

Please test it with latest device plugin.

Thats great and all, but 1.16.0.100 is all that is offered on your OEM page. So where am I to get 1.16.5.11 or later?

Hello Joel,

Thank you for your response, device plugin available on the site is v1.16.10 which is greater than version (v1.16.5.11) mentioned in the help doc. Please try to push this plugin once and let me know
