Is there a way to wipe Workday app every time it launches other than using "shared device" config. We have users that use the same devices and don't want them accessing others private information. These users don't have accounts for us to setup shared device configuration, so was hoping there was an easier way that every tine the app is clicked they will need to enter their sign in information.

Maybe you should consider updating to just released 2024.1.1 as there's a functionality with which you could wipe the app by script after each logout: https://docs.soti.net/soti-mobicontrol/release-notes/v20241/202411/

Execute Scripts on Device Upon Shared Device Logout

Administrators can now execute custom device scripts when users log out of shared devices, ensuring that all personal information and application log data are effectively removed. This functionality will apply only to the Android platform.

Would this still apply if we don't have shared devices setup? Our users don't have AD accounts so we would need an IDP setup for shared device. Looking to go down that road but i think that is mainly for single sign on to grant them access to all their apps with one sign in. we only have 1 app right now so I'm not sure we need that just yet. Just want them to log into workday and clear the app once they close the app, even if they don't sign out.

ah sorry, then i may have missunderstood your request.

i think there's no automation possible unless something like that is maybe provided by the app itself (login needed always when app opened) but i never heard of something like that.

right i have not either, and workday does not have a config for this through app policy. do you think this is possible with a javasScript of some kind? and if so, how would I go about attahcing that code to the link, maybe lockdown-->custom-->? i don't know, just trying to consider what options i have.

You could add a JS code to the lockdown checking if workday is in foreground and if it's not but was before, clear it's data.
Or you can use a scheduled Task profile to run such a script as it's executed on the device, not from server side but you may need to add a loop to get it at a lower checking schedule than one minute and also need to ensure that it doesn't has any influence on the device behavior (getting slow or similar).

Both not the best and maybe someone else has better ideas but those are mine right now.

thank you, I like the first option! Let me figure how to write javasScript lol!
