Hi Eduard,

I'm pretty sure no one here will be able to answer your question.
This can be server related (i assume you use servers directly from Soti and thats why you ask here?), then you may need to contact your server host (if my assumption is correct, open a case at Soti).
This can be related to the network of the devices (if all devices are connected to the same), then you need to investigate that.
And there can be also other possibilitys which may too many to list them all here.

Hello Rafael,

yes, I could have provided more information in first place.

We have SOTI MobiControl onPrem and different models/manufacturers of devices, but most of them are Zebra MC3300x. However, all of the devices, not only the Zebra scanners do reconnect all at 1 a.m.

I dont think that it is something due to the (WIFI) network, since this seems not to happen with Windows devices that are not managed with SOTI. Also, I am not sure if they  completely disconnect from WIFI, since they are reconnecting pretty fast (~. My guess was that the MobiControl agent is just reconnecting to the deployment server, without actually losing the network connection. I wanted to confirm this with this post. Is such a behaviour of the agent known?

Best,

Eduard

From your screenshots of the log, reconnection happens within 10 seconds or so after the disconnection.  If this is ALWAYS the case for ALL the devices you have checked, then I don't think this is a real issue, irrespective of what cause the events at 1 a.m. everyday.

Yes, I guess that it is not an issue, but I was wondering why this happens.

Hi Eduard,

Just an idea, you can have a look at the Mobicontrol Webconsole --> Server --> MS/DS logs. I know that there is a nightly Database Maintenance every midnight, but I'm not sure it's related to 10 second disconnection or not so you can verify whether the DB maintenance is same hour as the 10 seconds disconnection or not, or you may monitor your MS/DS services status from Windows Services if you can.

Thank you

Zafer
