Managed Google Play Account Status:'EXCEPTION_ADDING_ACCOUNT

Hi! 

With the latest AE agent 14.4.7 we often (not always!) receive the following error message when trying to assign Managed Google Play account to our devices:

Error message received from device (Managed Google Play Account Status:'EXCEPTION_ADDING_ACCOUNT javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Chain contains SHA1 algorithm which is deprecated')

Sometimes after waiting several minutes (multiple retries), the account can be created.

Has anybody experienced this problem aswell?

The problem does not occur with agent version 14.4.6.

Edit: Same problem with Agent 14.5.0.

Together with SOTI support we found a solution: You have to use Deployment Server Extension certificates which are SHA256 encrypted, including all the root certificates. If root CA is SHA1, this error may occur.

Hi,

we currently have the same issue:

Error message received from device (Status des Managed Google Play-Kontos: 'EXCEPTION_ADDING_ACCOUNT ')

I have set up a profile with certificates + authentification.

Our certificates are SHA256 and they are already installed on the device.

Any possible idea for a solution? :)

The same thing happened to me on some devices. The problem was that the date/time was not correct. By configuring it to use the network time, everything was fixed

How are you assigning the account to the devices?
