Is it possible to add a username and password to the UNC utilized in Content Library?  I've attempted to utilize the \\server\Shared\file.docx,u=user,p=password  syntax from https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v14.1/en/console/reference/dialogs/rules/filesync/linux/filesync_filescard_linux.html along with \\server\share /user:test testpassword that was provided to me via SOTI support from https://serverfault.com/questions/580369/windows-shares-via-command-line-with-user-pass-without-mapping-the-drive
however, as soon as I go to insert anything outside of the UNC it give an error “Must be a valid file path”. The only way I've successfully tested the Content Library is on a share that is wide open, but unfortunately that is not an option.

I'm a bit confused why you mention content library and the document URL refers to file-sync rule for linux platform.    The "Content Library" of MobiControl  is only supported for Android and iOS platform, and not for linux platform.

Are you just referring to your only content (say a file  named "file.docx" in the  UNC \\server\Shared) , and not the "Content Library" feature in MobiControl?

The only reason I mentioned the file-sync was that document showed a syntax to allow a user/pass be inserted.  I could not find something similar for the 'Content Library'.  We are trying to utilize the Content Library feature for our Android devices, utilizing a share to upload files that are then to be downloaded to individual devices.

In that case, please stick to the way Content Library is supposed to be used.  Files are uploaded using the "Content Library" tab of the web console to the server directory specified by the Content Library Path.   Please check the on-line documentation on the details at
