What is the roadmap aboout no longer depending on dotnet core 3.1 ? as the current versions of mobicontrol and xsight still depend on it, altough microsoft is no longer supporting dotnet core 3.1.

We are aware of the deprecation on .NET core 3.1 by Microsoft, and we had some inquiries regarding this topic.
.NET and .NET Core Support Policy
For instance, as per SOTI MC version 15.5 and 15.6, the latter does support .NET Runtime 6.0 and ASP.NET Core Runtime 6.0 and must be installed with all critical updates on the host server before you proceed with running the SOTI MobiControl installer.

The MobiControl 15.6.1 setup still required an installed dotnet core 3.1, otherwise it will not proceed further.

If your on-premises MobiControl server will still be using version earlier than 15.5 for some time, then you should keep a copy of the .NET 3.1 runtime installer, just in case you need some administrative task done in the near future. New MS-Windows server installation images/binaries do not have the old .Net 3.x libraries, and running some MobiControl v14.x/15.x installation binaries need to have such old .Net 3.x libraries re-installed afterwards.

thank you, I have already an Archive of old software and tools, good that storage is quite cheap.
I had the impression as I installed 15.6 on a fresh Server the setup did not go further as long as dotnet core 3.1 was not installed. And latest at installation of Xsight for WebRC you still need dotnet core 3.1
