Package upload restriction for packages or files over 2GB

Hallo zusammen,

nachdem Zebra das "LifeGuard Update 13-34-23.00-TG-U00" Update zurückgezogen hat und die Empfehlung ausgesprochen hat für weiteres funktionieren von Updates, das "LifeGuard Update 13-39-18.00-TG-U00" zu installieren, habe ich das mit "Package Studio" paketiert um ein Profil zu erstellen. Leider kam die Meldung das dies wegen maximaler Größe von 2GB nicht möglich ist. Das über FileSync zu realisieren ist zwar möglich aber für die Verwendung von XTreme Hub und dem damit verbundenen Lastenausgleich sinnfrei. UPL Dateien werden ab Android 11 und höher auch nicht mehr unterstützt, so das man das nicht kummulieren kann. Ich würde mich für eine Lösung sehr freuen, danke für Ideen im vor raus.

Hello everyone, 

after Zebra retracted the "LifeGuard Update 13-34-23.00-TG-U00" update and recommended installing the "LifeGuard Update 13-39-18.00-TG-U00" for further functioning of updates, I packaged this with "Package Studio" to create a profile. Unfortunately, I received the message that this is not possible due to the maximum size of 2GB. While it is possible to realize this via FileSync, it is pointless for the use of XTreme Hub and the associated load balancing. UPL files are also no longer supported from Android 11 and higher, so that cannot be accumulated. I would be very happy for a solution, thank you in advance for any ideas.

I also remember something via script and doing ftp get from external source but this is also not really a solution and never tested at least from our side.

Have you opened a ticket with SOTI regarding File Sync rules & Xtreme Hub not being compatible with one another? I would recommend you do so to increase visibility to this problem. Xtreme Hubs not being able to deliver large firmware updates through File Sync rules effectively eliminates their primary original value and purpose.

danke für die schnelle Rückmeldung. Wir haben noch die 2024.1 und werden dann bald umstellen. Das Filesync mit ftp funktioniert bei uns, ist aber keine Dauerlösung. Wir haben nächste Woche wieder unseren Termin mit Soti und dann werde ich das mal ansprechen. Danke für den Hinweis mit der 2025.1 Version.

thanks for the quick response. We're still on version 2024.1 and will be switching over soon. File syncing with FTP works for us, but it's not a permanent solution. We have another appointment with Soti next week, and I'll bring it up then. Thanks for the tip about the 2025.1 version.
