Remote control Web-based not working

I'm having trouble setting up the web-based RC. It works fine with the Legacy plugin.

Whenever you try to connect with HTML, the navigator goes to the login page of the WebConsole. If we try to login, the cicle keeps spinning but it never logs or shows an error.

Any ideas?

Hi Samuel

Please check the following in this file <SA Install folder>/Server/Config/RestAPI.config

  • MobiControl Rest API URL

If that URL is not matching the MobiControl MS FQDN please edit it and make it the same. 

After this restart of SotiAssist service is required.

im having the same issue but opposite circumstances my html seems to work but plug in doesnt

Yes, I installed SOTI Assist, other way it only shows a pop-up to install it. It seems it recognizes the installation but the redirection doesn't work properly.

Hi Samuel,

You can check and modify your Soti Assist connection setting simply by going to All Platforms->Servers->Global Settings in your web-console.  Click on "HelpDesk Server" entry for v13.x, or "Soti Assist Server"  for v14.x.   The value shown in the pop-up window should be an URL including the FQDN and port of your Management Server, e.g.

     https://mdm1.your.com:443/sotiassist
