Is there a newer version of mobicontrol for use on zebra tc75x running the oreo os?

I am upgrading the tc75x to oreo which was released in the last day or two. The 1664 build doesn't seem to work with oreo. is there a newer build version I should be  looking for?

What do you mean by it doesn't work?

the version that I was using build 1664 was not compatible and prompt for uninstall. I managed to get build 1928 installed and at this point I keep getting a work profile forced upon me which is further hindering me. I have however been advised to push it using stage now rather than installing manually to avoid the whole need of work profile.

Are you talking the agent? You said MobiControl....

Also, I always use StageNow to deploy Zebra devices.

Yes the device agent. I am fumbling through this I installed GSM to use the play store to find the working build. I did however have stagenow configured from upgrading from marshmallow to nougat, at this point I hope I am a few simple modifications away from success. thanks for your interaction on this as I'm new to the forums and far from an expert at any of this.

There is a bug using StageNow sometimes. You will get credential store prompts.

So until it is fixed I use afw#mobicontrol to enroll into Android Enterprise and that way it is also a Work Managed Device.

Were you using the Zebra specific DA agent before previously? In switching to GMS and Oreo on the TC75x you're likely going to have to switch to Android Enterprise and manage the devices differently.

This is Android Enterprise.

afw#mobicontrol has been failing now also.

SOTI has found the issue and a new agent is in the works set to drop on May 1st.

Unless there is something very specific to the TC75x, you may not have to wait for the next AE version. I enrolled a TC51, TC52, MC93, and TC8300 all on Oreo using afw#mobicontrol with 13.6.1928 within the past two weeks into a 13.4 and a 14.3.1 instance.

I can verify that today there is a new agent with version 13.7.0.1031 which solves the problem with credential store poup.

Hi,

I'm having a very similar issue where entering afw#mobicontrol on TC75X Oreo with Lifeguard13 seems to donwload & install  the agent but then it never actually loads. Restart of the device and open Mobicontrol and back to same state - it never loads.

I've tried to factory reset the device mutiple times but on set up it reports device is managed by mobicontrol and I should reset. I do that and go back through and I get same warning. I cannot actually reset back to factory.

If I go into Playstore an search mobicontrol I get oprion to Deactive or Open. Select Deactivate, warning says must be deactivated before app can be uninstalled, nothing happens when I click Deactivate, so cannot uninstall app. Again,  I cannot actually reset back to factory.

Is the Mobicontrol agent on Playstore the new version you mention? Or have I found another issue??

Hi Paul,

Just want to confirm if you have done factory reset the device using Stage now .

Thanks !

Describe the reset process...

A factory reset has to be done with an SD card.

You cannot factory reset via StageNow. That is only an Enterprise Reset even if it says Factory Reset.

get a copy of your appropriate reset file from zebra ex. ATLAS_O_FACT_RESET_U08.ZIP, load it onto an sd card, power cycle the device and hold the PTT button (yellow) as the scanner boots, release the yellow button and select upgrade from SD option, you should see your factory reset file there.  There is a factory reset and enterprise reset, pay attention to which you download and apply as they have different functions and will wipe certain or all partitions.
