Linux Device Management using MobiControl

I would like to start a discussion around Linux Device Management. First off, I am curious if any of our 14x customers have tried the Linux Agent and on what kinds of devices.

Also - does anyone have questions about the solution?

Hi Jason,

I'm surprised no one from the community has responded to this post as we definitely have customers who are using Linux devices in their MobiControl environment.

Do you have a specific device in mind you wanted to discuss? Since Linux offers such a wide range of devices are you looking to brainstorm on Linux based phones or their more specialized devices such as a smart speaker or Raspberry Pi?

Also what solution are you referring to when you're asking if other people have questions about the solution?

I am new to all this and I have been asked to enroll some of our Linux devices.

We are using MobiControl 13.2 and I do not see any linux platforms avaiable.

I only need command line interface (SSH) do we need to upgrade to 14.x?

Hi Brent,

Linux is available post 14.0.0. You can migrate to latest version of MobiControl and you will get host of functionalities to manage the Linux devices.

Thanks

I would suggest at least 14.2, however and 14.3.1 - next release will be best and include our terminal tunnel and html console capabilities in addition to others.
