Upload folder, subdirectories, and files to file sync

I've contacted support and have been told that "since this is not a break/fix issue of MobiControl it is outside of our scope". I'm hoping someone here will be able to help with my scenario.

I have a use case for the file sync functionality that involves downloading 507 files across a multi-layered directory of 113 folders from the server to the devices in a quarterly release schedule.

When creating the file sync rule I'm only able create a single directory at a time, and upload a single file at a time. This is likely to be time comsuming and prone to error.

Is it possible to upload an entire directory, including its subdirectories, and files to MobiControl?

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

You could zip all the files up into a preferred directory structure and then open a case with SOTI support to have them place the file directly on the server and unzip the folder into your preferred path of the File Sync storage directory.

Thanks for your response, Matt.

Is there a way to automatically unzip the archive once it's on the device? The process needs to have no physical interaction with the device itself if possible.

Hi, if you put your files and folders on an test device. You can then create an file sync rule and set it to upload from device to server with the option Sync Sub-folders.
Then all folders will be created on the server.
