When downloading the JSON from the registration policy list—or re-editing a driver registration policy and downloading the JSON again—the resulting file cannot be used as a discoverable endpoint. What is the point of downloading this JSON for installation, or what other purpose does it serve?

The JSON you download from the registration/driver policy list is an export/template/backup of the policy — useful for documentation, import, automation or re‑creation — but it is not the ABM/account‑bound discovery payload that MobiControl uses during AppleID‑driven enrollment. That account‑bound payload includes an opaque token (the GUID suffix in the BaseURL) and must be the file you host as the discoverable endpoint.
