We use SOTI surf in KIOSK mode, and the best option would be for us, if the back button would close the browser completely and if we open up Surf again from the lockdown menu a new browser would open up. So basically a clean start every time. Is it possible somehow?

Yes it is possible! Can you please confirm how have you included the SOTI Surf on Lockdown? Surf browser app or only the website URL?

on the lockdown menu there is an icon which leads to an URL using SOTI Surf in KIOSK mode like: surf://MYURL

You may have to update the configurations for SOTI Surf on your lockdown menu. Instead of adding only 1 URL on the Surf, you can include the Surf app directly.
Step 1: Edit the configurations for Surf app on the same profile
Step 2: Add the Surf app to the Lockdown menu instead of the URL.
Step 3: Save and Assign it to the devices.
Note: Please try this on a test device before pushing it to the production devices.

I tried it out, unfortunately in the end it still the same but with extra steps. It still does not close with the back button, We now just have a catalog of the sites we need to use.
