The results show up in the Device Log section under the individual device records in MobiControl. I do not believe you will see this information in Google Play Console anywhere. The apps themselves also need to explicitly take advantage of the feedback channel for you to see anything come back.

After configuring "Manage Google Play" and enabling "Application Feedback" within a newly created policy—and successfully pushing this policy to a managed device—if a user opens YouTube on the device, navigates to Settings, and selects "Send Feedback," will this feedback information be collected within the MobiControl device logs?

No, most definitely not. This is a native Android Enterprise functionality that allows an app to signal back to the EMM it's installation and configuration status. This is something that occurs during the install time or when managed configurations are applied. This is not user feedback, it is feedback from the app to the EMM.

Hello! You mentioned that the results would be displayed in the "Device Logs" section of MobiControl for each device, occurring during installation or app hosting configuration. I created a new app policy to add apps from Google Play to the device for push notifications, and the device installed all the apps. However, there are no related feedback logs in the device logs. It also said that the apps I installed don't have feedback logs, hence they're not in the device log list.

Turning on the Application Feedback Channel just ensures that if an app is reporting information back through this channel that it can be collected and displayed to you. Turning on this EMM configuration setting however does solve for an app that otherwise has not taken advantage of this feedback channel. The app itself has to be specifically coded to support sending feedback through the channel.

Think of the device logs section like a speaker, the Application Feedback Channel like an Aux cable, and the app in question like a music player. You have just plugged the speaker and cable into the music player by enabling the feedback channel, the music player is however not playing any music, therefore you aren't hearing anything through the speaker (seeing anything in the device log).

Hi @Qing Ye,

Thanks for posting on SOTI Pulse, Thanks Matt for responding to the post, your expertise and willingness to help are greatly appreciated!

Based on your observations, it appears that the applications were installed successfully on the device through the app policy. However, not all application installations generate feedback logs in the "Device Logs" section of MobiControl. In cases where the application does not provide installation feedback or related events to MobiControl, corresponding logs may not appear in the device logs list.

If you require any further troubleshooting or have additional concerns regarding this behavior, you can raise a support ticket with SOTI Technical Support. Once the ticket is created, it will be assigned to one of our support agents, who will assist you further in investigating and resolving the issue. You can also give call to our support line and the agent will be able to create a case on the call as well.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
