Without more details on your server and devices, one possible procedure that should work in general is as follows:

1. Add a new pcg of the  apk app update

2.  Add a new  profile that include the new pcg targeted to the device tree branch of interest.  Make sure the profile is deployed and the new app update should be deployed.

3.  Open your old profile that includes the old pcg targeted to multiple branches including the tree branch of interest.  Reassign it by omitting the single device tree branch already targeted in step (2).

You should try the above approach on devices on a non-production test device group tree to confirm that it works without affecting unexpected devices, before you consider applying it to your production devices.
