Just to give a little warning on the following (Because the og Topic was locked):

https://discussions.soti.net/thread/how-to-move-elastic-search-data-nodes-to-a-different-drive/

With the latest Update there was something additionally changed in the registry, if you use this now and delete the data directory you will loose your search data and the service isnt able to reindex it correctly.

If you just update and copy the data directory to a different drive it still works though.

Hi John,

Thanks for requesting a response from SOTI Support Staff,

1. Shutdown all services

2. Rename C:\Program Files\SOTI\MobiControl\Search\data

3. Start search service wait 2 min

4. Start management service wait 2 min

5. Go to the webconsole and run search sync till it reaches 100%

6. Start deployment services

could you try the above solution once and report back if that worked for you or not?

Regards,

As an Update to this, using the guide linked in my post earliere isnt the issue.

This must be an general issue in MobiControl right now.

If you update to 15.4.1 and delete the "data" directoy in the search service the "data" directory is resynced and indexed but webconsole will show 0 entrys for devices.
