Hello,

using over then 1800 in our production plants worldwide, we have honeywell programs licenses with expiration dates and to re-new these licenses we are using Honeywell license manager. We need to get an overview from our mobicontrol about all installed licenses with expiration date.

Do you have any idea about this!

Thank you

For query about licensing related issues,  I think you'd better contact your local Soti reseller where you previously purchased your MobiControl licenses.

Thank you Rymond for your response.

Already contacted but for the moment still a feature to implement in the next releases.

In the meanwhile I'm still searching for a work around to get this information.

The information needed are the Honeywell licenses in the devices with expiration dates.

Thank you

How about contacting Honeywell directly.

They should be able to help you maybe.

I need to extract for each Honeywell CK65 device the information (red marked) from over then 500 devices.

How can I do it through data collection rule or any work around.

OS: Android 10,11

Agent version: 15.0.1.1051

MobiControl: 14.4.8.1043 (will be updated to the latest version soon)

Thank you

Amine

For SOTI to be able to read in this data and present it to you in the console there would need to be a plain text .ini or text file on the device containing this information in a consistent format in a readable location (ie. not scoped storage or app cache) that could be parsed and extracted by a Custom Data rule. If such a file does not exist today you would potentially to submit a feature request to Honeywell to have them introduce this capability.

Alternatively, you could maybe submit a feature request to SOTI to see if they could extract this information from the licensing app. In order for them to do so however the app would need to offer some sort of mechanism like an intent through which that information could be queried.

If there is such an intent, you could even build your own custom app to query the licensing status and then write the result to an ini file and then set up a Custom Data rule to extract that data. If you're going so far as to write your own custom app you could even use the SOTI APIs to update the property for the devices in more real time on the server than waiting for a Custom Data rule to read in the value from an ini.

On top of what Matt has proposed, I would just like to add that any .xml file on your device containing the version information can also be used to get your desired custom-data collection rule set up in minutes.  With the scoped-storage permission constraint tightening gradually from Android 10 onwards, the read permission of such .ini/.xml file, even if they exist on the device, may pose new challenge even for existing custom-data collection mechanism working for years in the past.
