Hi,
I need to downgrade Zebra TC58 from OS14 to OS13 and have tryed to use StageNow "OS Downgrade Oreo and above" in PowerMRG, transfared both files to the device and run script MXconfig.
I have tryed to run script from SOTI and in shell on the device.
it doesn't look like MXconfig works, any idea on how to downgrade these devices remotly?

have you tried to scan the QR code from the StageNOW Profile to see if it is working ?
Then you get an may an failure message.
It could be that the ZIP File is not on the location as in the Stage now Profile Configured.
My Profile includes:
1. Download Full Android 13 file to Device (not incremental) to the Device in the Download Folder
2. Apply with the PowerMGR the OS Downgrade (Downgrade only, supported Android Oreo and aboe)
-> path /sdcard/Donwload/Z-A13.zip

It might work With QR code, but I want this to be done automaticly. When we drop a Device in a spesific group in SOTI, SOTI runs a check if the device has the right OS and LG.
If the device not having the right OS and LG, SOTI starts to download the right versions and install them.
It Works fine with upgrading but for downgrade I don't manage to do it by file and script.

Hi Kjetil,
you need to expect when you downgrade that it will perform a Factory Reset not an enterprice reset on the Device that it would revocer the settings from the persist storage.
You must test if that would work but in the past it was after a Downgrade that way.
The process looks good from my end.
Sometimes downgrades are not possible however in situations where a new physical component has been sourced. For example this recent A14 OS for the TC58 indicates that there is a new camera component that will prevent downgrades.

This explains why I can't downgrade from OS14.
I dont have the device fysicly With me, do you know a way to check camera type remotly?

If the devices shipped with 14-20 U160 you can probably assume as much.
To remotely verify the adb getprop you might be able to see that info in the snapshot logs from Rxlogger.

Hi,
I had a meeting with Zebra and they told me that the latest LifeGuard 13-39-18.00-TG-U00-STD-ATH-04 to TC53 have suport for camera driver.
I have tested to downgrade from Android 14 to Android 13 with this and for me it works.
I used downgrade .xml from StageNow.
Case is solved.
