To take advantage of the latest features, use new apps, or in some cases, avoid data loss on devices, we strongly recommend upgrading SOTI Snap Android and iOS apps to the 3.3.0 version.
What is the impact of this change?
Only devices running SOTI Snap 3.3.0 agent or above can take full advantage of all new apps and features available. Any device running SOTI Snap agents below 3.3.0 will not be able to use new apps, new features, and in some cases, older versions of the agent risk losing their local device data as well.
What should customers do to avoid any impact?
To avoid any disruption in business operations, customers are advised to upgrade their SOTI Snap agent to 3.3.0 as soon as possible. Any device not upgraded to 3.3.0 by August End, 2022, will automatically upgraded when they connect to SOTI Snap.
How to upgrade to the latest SOTI Snap version?
You can upgrade your SOTI Snap agent with any of the following methods:
- From the SOTI Snap agent app catalog, go to Settings > About us > App version, then click Update
- Open Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS) and search for SOTI Snap, then click Update
- Refresh the SOTI Snap agent app catalog to receive a notification to upgrade and click Upgrade
Using SOTI MobiControl to Deploy SOTI Snap
If you are using SOTI MobiControl to deploy SOTI Snap and device users do not have access to their respective app store to upgrade the app, the upgrade must instead be sent from SOTI MobiControl.
