Issue Description
When initiating a session, SOTI XSight Live View does not show any devices in the list, map, or device snapshot.
Environment
The issue may occur in both cloud-based and on-premises deployments of SOTI XSight version 2024.0.0 or later.
Symptoms
No devices are displayed in the list or map view, nor in the device snapshots, when starting a session in SOTI XSight Live View.
Issue Resolution
In case of encountering this issue on SOTI XSight version 2024.0.0, it is recommended to follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
Verify SOTI XSight services are running:
1. Open the SOTI XSight Administration Utility.
2. Verify that all SOTI XSight services are running.
3. To ensure full functionality, start any services that are currently stopped.
Verify the SOTI XSight agent is installed on devices:
1. In SOTI MobiControl, select a device and navigate to the applications tab.
2. Search for the SOTI XSight agent to confirm if the SOTI XSight agent is installed.
3. Confirm the SOTI XSight agent build is up-to-date and compatible with the current SOTI XSight version.
Remote control to confirm the SOTI XSight agent version from the device:
1. Initiate remote control for an online device and open the SOTI XSight agent.
2. Confirm the SOTI XSight agent version.
Note: It is recommended that you upgrade the agent if it is not up to date. The agent can be generated from the SOTI XSight console and pushed via a profile in SOTI MobiControl.
Additional Information
After confirming that the SOTI XSight services are operational and updating the SOTI XSight agent, proceed to test the Live View to ensure its correct functionality.
