Issue Description

Enrolling Windows 7 devices through Windows Classic enrollment, the device does not appear on the console. The Agent, despite being installed on the device, shows as disconnected and does not connect after multiple attempts.

Environment

Windows Classic devices

Cause

The issue is caused by a mismatch between the TLS version and the SOTI MobiControl Server and Client device.

Issue Resolution

1. Download IIS Crypto GUI from https://www.nartac.com/Products/IISCrypto/Download on both the server and the Windows 7 device.

2. On the server, check the highest version of TLS enabled.

The IIS Crypto tool

3. On the client Windows 7, run the IIS Crypto and check if the TLS matches the server version.

4. Enable the TLS version corresponding to the one on the SOTI MobiControl server.

5. The action will require a device reboot. Perform a reboot on the Windows 7 device.

6. After performing the above steps, uninstall the Device Agent from the Windows 7 device and run the SOTI MobiControl Agent again.

7. The Agent should show as the connected status.
