Allowing Google Gemini to Run in Android Native Lockdown

Situation
When Google Gemini is opened for the first time on an Android Enterprise device, the Google app launches the following activity:
com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox/com.google.android.apps.search.assistant.surfaces.voice.robin.main.MainActivity
If this activity is not included in the Native Lockdown allowed activities list, Native Lockdown blocks the activity, preventing Google Gemini from opening.
Environment
- Android Enterprise work-managed device
- Native Lockdown enabled
Process Description
- In SOTI MobiControl, open the profile containing the Native Lockdown configuration.
- Edit the Native Lockdown configuration.
- Add the following activity to the Allowed activities list:
com.google.android.apps.search.assistant.surfaces.voice.robin.main.MainActivity - Save the profile.
- Deploy the updated profile to the device.
- Confirm that the updated profile has been installed on the device.
- Open Google Gemini.
Important: Enter the package and activity names exactly as shown. Do not include quotation marks or trailing spaces.
Verification and Validation
- Confirm that the updated Native Lockdown profile is installed on the device.
- Open Google Gemini from Native Lockdown.
- Confirm that the Google Gemini interface opens successfully and remains available without being blocked or closed by Native Lockdown.
- If Google Gemini remains blocked, review the device logs to determine whether the installed version of the Google app launches an additional activity.
- If an additional activity is identified, add the required activity to the Native Lockdown Allowed activities list and redeploy the updated profile.
