I would like to start a discussion around Linux Device Management. First off, I am curious if any of our 14x customers have tried the Linux Agent and on what kinds of devices. Also - does anyone have questions about the solution?
As of Aug 2018, is MobiControl v14 still only supporting the following two linux distributions: Ubuntu 16.04 or later Raspbian 8.0 or later Are there any other distributions in the process of certification? If so, what are the estimated schedule to officially have them certified and supported? Also, it seems that only out-of-contact policy is the only profile payload available in the forthcoming MobiControl v14.2. Is there any feature roadmap to add other profile payloads for the linux device platform in the near future?
https://sailfishos.org/ is an Opensource Linux based OS roots from MeeGo - old Jolla / Nokia etc. It would be really amazing if we could use MDM functionalities with Sailfish OS and Mobicontrol.
