I wanted to see if there was a way to disable the drag refresh option for SOTI surf. We are currently using the browser as this is easy to configure site restrictions but the functionality has been an issue for some folks and we wanted to look into any other means of customization. Additionally is there any plans on other color options?
We have our Samsung tablets set with a bookmark to a GISCloud.com map (https://continental-landscapes.giscloud.com/map/1192857/whg-2019). In SOTI Surf we are having issues where one of the map layers (the base map layer with the streets/streetnames on it) is not displaying when viewed in SOTI Surf, but is displaying fine if viewed in Chrome. I can't think why WebView wouldn't like it.
I use SOTI surf with Lockdown mode on Zebra ET 50 I found problem as below 1. I have 4 url web links with 4 different urls 2. when I open one link and press home to another link 3. It’s was shown old link It’s not show new link Ex. 1. Link#1 www.google.com Link#2 www.facebook.con 2. When I open link#1 , SOTI surf open www.google.com then I click home for back to lockdown home screen 3. I open link#2, It should be to open www.facebook.com but it have been shown www.facebook.com ( android 5.1) and mobicontrol server version 15
I'm trying to launch SOTI surf from a script on the device. Device is a Datalogic Memor 10. I'm needing to use an intent to change scanner settings then launch SOTI surf directly to a webpage with top and bottom hidden. I can do something like 'start net.soti.surf' in the script but am not sure, and can't find, how to start on a certain webpage. I'm sure it's something simple but thought I'd ask the question instead of spending an hour doing trial and error.
Hi,I wanted to make kiosk mode browser with one page and remove navigation bar (the one with Back, Home, Recent buttons). I managed to remove it with stage now, but now when opening Soti Surf it shows white line where navigation bar was placed. Has anyone encountered this problem and have found a fix or workaround? Hi, We are evaluating Soti Surf 14.3 for future deployment (14.2 used right now), mainly because 14.2 is not working after upgrade to oreo on a Zebra TC56 device, removing itself from the device. We use the devices on a closed network, to access local resources. I was surprised to see the firewall blocking page saying I'm trying to access www.soti.net which is blocked. The kiosk uses the surf://local_ip notation, and I just fail to understand what Soti would do something like that Any way to get an updated version that is not trying to silently connect outside the network and block the functionality of the devices ? Thank you
Is there a way to run a script when an app closes? Basically, trying to wipe SOTI Surf when it closes, fresh for the next user. At the moment it’s keeping users logged in, I tried clear history and delete cookies on start up but it’s like the apps instance doesn’t fully close…

Hello, For devices with hardware keypads (MC33), how can I disable just the on-screen keypad? The disable keyboard setting for Kiosk mode disables both. The google keyboard does allow for this but the settings do not apply when in surf. The on screen keypad takes up more than half the screen on the MC33. Thanks for your time, Shawn
Our environment is using TC56 devices (Nougat) and Android Enterprise. Since the AE agent upgraded to 13.6, we had to upgrade Surf to 14.2 version for it to continue working, but there's a catch. When surf is upgraded to 14.2, or even installed as new on a factory reset device, it won't ask for all the authorizations it needs, it will ask for 2 of them, but when you launch surf (from surf:// in kiosk mode) you will get a flashing strobe mess and the app will remain stuck that way. Manually granting the other permissions in app settings fixes it and surf works fine after that, but I think SOTI should be aware of that, since something's not right in that version. Of course using Zebra devices we can (and will) use the appmgr to grant all the permissions on install, but this should be addressed imho. Surf config is as basic as it can be : Fullscreen mode with no address bar and no startup menu, then kiosk is used to access chosen websites.
Since last week Android BYOD user report, that access to internal websites is not possible anymore. User see on screen a ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED error. iOS users do not report such an issue. Using SOTI Surf 14.1.0.58 from PlayStore and SOTI Server version 13.4.0.4449 Does anyone have the same problem?
Hi,Anyone here experienced implementing ERG for SOTI Surf? I already installed SOTI SurfERG-app, I already configured it to my Mobicontrol Server. When I open SOTI Surf from device, it communicates with ERG server via the specific port I specify, I verified it using wireshark packet tracer. But whenever I access websites or IPs from browser, it doesnt pass its traffic to ERG Server, device communicates directly without ERG in between. If I'm not mistaken, purpose of ERG for SOTI Surf is to relay all HTTP/HTTPS traffic from device to target destination and redirect it back. Thanks
