Has anyone done any field tests on how Enterprise Resource Gateway CPU/memory/network loadings scale with number of devices or Soti-Surf/Hub policies ?

Hello Raymond,

We have done testing with both SOTI-Surf and SOTI Hub policies.   What we have found is summarized below;

SOTI Surf

Our internal Performance testing for SOTI surf ERG server demonstrated that a host machine of 8GB RAM will facilitate 9000 connections per second.

SOTI HUB

Our internal Performance testing for

  • Search on Server component of WebDAV repository in SOTI hub demonstrated that a host machine of 8GB RAM will facilitate 6000 concurrent connections per second.
  • Download Resumption component of WebDAV repository in SOTI hub demonstrated that a host machine of 8GB RAM will facilitate 5000 concurrent connections per second.

Nonetheless we would love to hear about other users field tests.

Is your ERG implemented in a "standalone" VM /host instance running ONLY the ERG function under Windows Server 2012 ?  If so, how many CPU cores are there and what are the cpu clock speed and cache size?

  • Performance testing was done on stand-alone VM machine with Surf ERG component installed
  • CPU Core: 2 cores, CPU Clock Speed: 2.20 Ghz, Cache Size: 0
