hello, we use MC 14.5.4 and have a big problem since 3 weeks with our Zebra Win-Mobile devices, Android and all other devices are not affected. All working WinMobile devices are online, but if i reset a device and move it to a folder, it goes offline after a short time and doesn't come online anymore. The funny thing is, when i change the device name in the Soti Agent on the device, it comes back online, changes the device name on MC and then goes offline again. I suspected the certificates, but they were not changed. The only change was a MC update, from 14.4 to 14.5 TLS 1.0 1.1 and 1.2 is also aktive on both deployment servers I hope someone can help me.. I am attempting to enroll a Windows 10 laptop onto our SOTI MobiControl server (running version 15.2) using LDAP authentication against our on-premise Active Directory. I have set up my rule to include the group with the most permissions in our AD for enrollment purposes I have confirmed that the domain user that I am using is a part of this group and possesses all the necessary permissions However, when on the laptop, I successfully join it to our domain, but nothing ever gets enrolled on the SOTI side. Could someone point me in the right direction for where to troubleshoot or even provide a solution for how to successfully join a laptop to a domain and SOTI simultaneously?
Hi What's the correct path for a classic application? In the configuration screen I can add Classic and Modern apps but the application path is always invalid. Same happening for all classic application I trying to add. Does SOTI Local installation and provision package setup need a domain purchase? We do have devices all over Canada. The provisioning package created a few times with Windows and Windows Server 2016, which didn't work. Every day the SOTI employee saying different things, he installed SOTI MobiControl on Windows 10 and tried to create a Provision package, he failed and said Windows Server 2016 needed. I installed Windows Server 2016 and he tried again to create a provisioning package without any success. Now, I am confused about the ability of some tech support people in SOTI. What I need to make SOTI run from local installation, I need a very specific answer. We do have around 350 devices all over Canada.
Hello , I want to run a script from the lockdown page on a windows CE device. I want to start velocityCE in that script when it is installed : if exist "\Program Files\Wavelink\VelocityCE\VelocityCE.exe"start "\System\Wavelink\VelocityCE\VelocityCE.exe" When it is not installed i want to wait ( installation of a package ) and put a message box on screen, telling them to wait for 60 seconds. Hi, Does anyone know if the Zebra MC67 (Windows Mobile) has any kind of logging when a device reboots or start time or uptime value stored anywhere like the registry, etc.... We are trying to solve an application issue deployed on the MC67s, and would like to be able to build a report with date/time stamps of every time a device is rebooted or powered on. I wasn't sure if Zebra had this available or if there was any way within Mobi to grab this data or simulate it (thinking like a task to insert a record in the Mobi log at startup, etc). Any info is appreciated. Thanks
Hi, We have Mobicontrol 14.4.2.1307 running in two test labs as well as well as in the customer's production environment. I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with changing java verson on after installing Mobicontrol. In particular, I need to switch to java openjdk in on of the labs to have it consistent with the other environments and the other instances need to be updated to the latest version of openjdk in order to alleviate some security. I've read this article(https://discussions.soti.net/kb/using-mobicontrol-with-openjdk-instead-of-java/) and it seems to imply that I might have to reinstall mobicontrol after I update/change java? Is this correct or is their a simpler way of migrating? Michael Sun
Hi, I have configured a lockdown on a Zebra Windows 10 Tablet and enrolled it using Windows classic (Zebra recommends Classic for this device) When using lockdown, it doesn't acknowledge the AD. You only have "local users". Any idea, why there is not AD available? When not using lockdown, AD works fine. Thanks for your ideas.
We currently use RemCapture to get a base and difference when updating handhelds and update the handhelds flash memory so if the handheld loses power (battery removed) or is hard reset it keeps the last update. Is there a way to do this with Soti?

Every once in a while, I will receive the following error message when trying to enroll a Windows 10 desktop. Looks like lots of different potential reasons online but none conclusive. Anyone else run into this issue and what is normally done to solve it? I've had this happen to 3+ workstations, with know reason as to why this is failing. Any thoughts?
I'm looking to create a package for our old Motorola MC9598 fleet. We will be replacing them within the year and I'm more versed in our android fleet. There was a package created that sets the proxy server at 127.0.0.1 and then adds a list of exceptions for sites that we want to allow the handhelds to get to. The package was created well before my time at this company and the original package is no where to be found and the others here aren't quite sure how it was created either. I'm mainly looking for how to build a package for the MC9598's to set the proxy server and add urls to the exception list. I was assuming it was a script but I wasn't quite sure the language to use for said script. Thanks All!
