We have our Samsung tablets set with a bookmark to a GISCloud.com map (https://continental-landscapes.giscloud.com/map/1192857/whg-2019). In SOTI Surf we are having issues where one of the map layers (the base map layer with the streets/streetnames on it) is not displaying when viewed in SOTI Surf, but is displaying fine if viewed in Chrome. I can't think why WebView wouldn't like it.
Hi,I wanted to make kiosk mode browser with one page and remove navigation bar (the one with Back, Home, Recent buttons). I managed to remove it with stage now, but now when opening Soti Surf it shows white line where navigation bar was placed. Has anyone encountered this problem and have found a fix or workaround? I want to use soti surf instead of Zebra Enterprise Browser as it would make it easier to configure sites with custom attributes. Zebra CC6000Agent - 14.1.3.1027 Version: 14.3.4.1087

Hi Guys, I have an issue with the soti surf browser. When I install and open it, the screen just flashes white I found that you need to enable few permissions as below. After enabling them it works without any issues. Just wondering if there are any scripts to enable this automatically
We have Samsung (S6 and S8) and they are all in Kiosk mode. The Users must not be allowed to access the internet except to use Google Maps. If you allow the standard Google Maps app on the lockdown screen they can use it fine but they can break out to the internet via website links in the map location despite disallowing this in Application Run Control. An example I will use is YouTube. So you allow Google Maps (App) on the lockscreen, user searches for something like 'Costa', a list of Costa sites come up with a link to their website. They click the website link which gives them an address bar to free type whatever they please, In this case YouTube. YouTube is Blacklisted in Application Run Control. I have found a way around this by adding the following to the lockdown screen Surf://www.google.co.uk/maps and then in Soti Apps > Surf Settings I have whitelisted maps.google.co.ukweb. This works perfectly to find locations and directions and does not allow the user to access anything on the internet apart from Google Maps. However they can not use the navigate button which would give them walking directions for example. It says Access Restricted then brings them back to Google Maps. So close to a solution - maybe I just need to whitelist something else as well?
hi everyone, i configured soti surf and everything seems right. but for some reason the app will not launch. it seems to be stuck on the red Soti Surf logo screen. it will never load/launch the browser. could there be something wrong with my android for work profile? soti surf works well on Android plus enrolled devices. Soti Surf version 14.2.0.119 Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi, We want to be able to erase browser(surf) stored data, from a share devices locked down in KIOSK mode(see screenshot). Specifically the user needs to be able to trigger a 'logout' after end of shift. Devices are enrolled via Android Enterprise(Device Owner). Solution #1:Deploy a script file and run from lockdown with scriptcommand. wipeapplication or kill_application. However both script commands appear unsupported(log displays script command as unsupported). Solution #2:Invoke an action in lockdown items. action://clear_cache...etc. However this only seems to support configuring wifi/pw change: https://discussions.soti.net/thread/are-they-any-other-mobicontrol-actions-possible-to-be-used-from-the-kiosk-mode-lockdown/ How do I go about this?
I am running soti mobicontrol and Surf on Zebra MC33, android 7.1 I would like to disable the screen rotation, locking the screen in portrait mode. I have tried to send a script "lockdownorientation portrait" but with no luck. Any suggestions?
Is there some place that Soti provides a download link for the Surf apk outside of Google play store? We would like to deploy it but the target devices are all on private cell APNs and have no access to the Internet. I would like to deploy it the same way as we do Settings Manager, for which Soti provides a download link. I'd rather not have to use third party sites (apkpure, etc) to get the surf apk. Am I missing it somewhere on the downloads page?
Hello. We are currently running ERG servers for our MS Exchange/ActiveSync communication. Now we would like to implement Soti Surf. SOTI recommends using an ERG server for this scenario. Now I have the following questions: - Can we use our existing Exchange-ERG-servers for the Soti Surf implementation? - Can Soti Apps Server and ERG run on the same machine? Thank you for a short reply Simon
