We had a script that we pushed to laptops to reboot them working fine in MC13. The script stopped working when we upgraded to MC14. We are now at the latest MC14 version and we can't get it to work. Does anyone have any ideas? This is very important to us because it returns the laptop to the state where a smartcard and PIN is needed to access the latop's contents. Thanks!
How do I resolve this root certificate issue in a MobiControl Cloud instance?
Hi, We have some users that experiencing an issue when attempting to remote control a device using the non-html5 version. When they initially tried to use it, they were prompted to install the extra software to perform the function and everything worked as expected. Now (after a few months of working) when they launch the remote control session, they get prompted to install the software again. They go through the process and it fails, as it says it's already installed and then the remote control initiation fails. Any thoughts on how to resolve this? It seems to be a per-user/per-PC basis as it works fine for other users. Thanks
Hi, I'm attempting to come up with a solution to update a mass amount of devices to change the screen timeout setting from 30 seconds to the OS max of 10 minutes (wish I could disable completely). I monitored setting the 10 minute setting and came up with the log and then script below. Log: Custom log (URI:content://settings/system SETTING:screen_off_timeout VALUE:600000) Script sent to device:writesecuresetting –sys screen_off_timeout 600000 There were no changes after the script was sent. I waited a few minutes / rebooted the tablet but no results. Is the command I sent via the script possibly not supported on our devices? Device: Samsung Tab E 8.0 (Verizon) Model: SM-T378V OS: 7.1.1 Thanks in advance for any help on this issue.

SOTI-Server to v14 right after the initial release. Afterwards we had an issue upgrading our device agents because they were too old, thus we had to contact your support team. After editing some tables in the database, and lowering the “min. required version” it was working fine and we could upgrade our Samsung device-agent’s. However we still have some Getac devices that can’t be upgraded because the device agent is outdated thus we can't enrol any packages to them. It’s also showing us the “yellow call sign” but after trying to upgrade we get the message “Invalid device software version (Device is not allowed to upgrade)” Which tables do I've to edit to get the trick done again ? Is the Web Filtering / Whitelist feature only available when using the Webroot SecureWeb Browser application and only if it's a managed application (installed via the Play Store)? I've followed these instructions but when it comes to adding the actual web filter, I can't find it! They say: To enable the Android Web Filter, right click a group or a single Android device, click Device Configuration. After the Device Configuration dialog appears, click Web Filter But I do not get this option: Doing some more reading, I found mention of an Android For Work Web Filter, but having followed those instructions, I still don't have the option available:

I have deployed these apps as "Suggested" applications in my App Catalog Rules, so the user must navigate to the App Catalog webclip in order to install/update these applications. When an update is available, they click on the "Download" button next to the application. However, on some of my users' iOS devices, after the application is updated on the device, the application fails to launch. Note that although it only affects some users, this has happened when updating any of the applications in the App Catalog, so it is not application specific.

Can i install an Mobicontrol Agent without giving all the permissions? I mean the permissions which install asks before enrollement, example full rights to pictures, phone calls and addressbook?
I believe the command is 'watchsettings' but i don't recall the proper syntax. Also, the script to use the pulled settings URI to activate or deactivate a setting. I haven't found either script in MobiControl's online help. What I'm trying to accomplish is a script command to turn on Usage Data Access for MobiControl on Samsung Note 8 devices since the device agent no longer requests this setting to be turned on during initial setup.
I have 150 devices that are missing the proper APN settings for mobile LTE data access. The devices and SIM cards I am using are branded by the same carrier, but auto-configuration is not working. Is there a way to configure the APN settings through MobiControl? There is no "APN" option when setting up the profiles through Android Enterprise (AFW), so I am hoping there's another way to accomplish this.
