As fairly known, scoped storage restrictions are enforced on all device apps. As a result, all Android agents or any third-party app can no longer access files stored in any other app’s app specific external storage. I read quite a lot of discussions in the last days, but not really found a best-practise for my problem. How to access the export files of ZEBRA datawedge profiles via SOTI remote control? In the release notes for Android Enterprise Agent 15.2.0, it says that there is now the ability to 'Install, uninstall and set/get preferred Access Point Names (APN) on Android Classic and Android Enterprise Work Managed' Does anyone have any instructions on how to do this? Hello, Since on devices enrolled as Android Enterprise, it has hardware encryption information and a value next to it. What does that value mean and what level of encryption does the device have?
Hi everyone, Is there any way to enable GNSS from Samsung device (maybe from feature control or through Script) ? My device is SM-A105G (Android 10) and using AE Work Managed enrollment. SOTI version 15.2.3.1033 I tried Location Accuracy - High Accuracy but turnout it doesn't activate GNSS. Thanks & regards, Randy Saputra
I've got some Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (SM-T295) devices running Android 10 and enrolled via AE. They are constantly making background notification noises, which I believe is coming to from the Google Play Store. Does anyone know of a way to disable notifications on a per app basis via a script that i can send to the devices?
With the SOTI Apps permissions checked in the add device rule is there a way on Android 10 devices to send a script to auto accept those permissions? I'm enrolling Samsung SM-T307U devices and I am curious if there is any new development on this? There have been many requests for AE device, to get this feature (watchsetting on) back. Will it come back or will there be something other to get the setting names?
Hi there we want to enroll Zebra TC51 as AE Fully Managed Devices. But when device is enrolled there's a always coming an action: On our Nokia devices it isn't. Is there something we can do additionally? (Something in OEMConfig App or StageNow or what ever) OEM Version 02-32-04.00-OG-U06-STD Agent Version 14.3.2.1050 Plugin Version 1.6.0.102
We use the lockdown mode on 99% of our Android Enterprise devices (mostly Samsung Tab A's like the SM-T295) and part of our lockdown solution is to block the expansion of the notification bar. The problem i have is that if someone gets a text for example, the only notification they get is on the lockscreen when you unlock the device. Once the device is unlocked and on the lockdown mode there is no visual reminder that they have a notification. Is there a way of getting 'badge app icons' to show on the lockdown mode if the user gets a notification? (i.e. a little number 1 appears over the Messages app if they have an unread message)
Hello, how exactly would you realise somewhat of version control in android enterprise for things like agent updates and app updates (public). And how exactly is the agent update and app update handled by the managed google play store? What are the criteria that must be met in order of the play store to update the app / agent. ( i know you can manage app updates ) But that arent many options to choose from, we´d like to somewhat test new app and agent updates before they are silently pushed and installed on all the ae devices. What is your approach to this and what am i maybe missing? Thanks in advance. Kind regards John
Hi Team, Installed SOTI MC Android Enterprise agent from Play Store on Xiaomi Redmi Pro 6 device. Tried pushing applications using Package Studio but it didn't downloaded and installed. I'm getting the error of "Failed to install (incompatible platform)". I tried the same on Samsung Tab A using Android + agent and it worked fine. Pls .help
