Installing APKs and silently approving app permissions on Android 10 Solved

I've read other posts about this but everything I've tried to this point hasn't worked so I figured I'd open this up to the community. Here is our scenario: MobiControl Cloud instance 15.3 Android Classic device agents 15.0.1.1051 We are using Sonim XP8 devices only. Devices are used in the service industry and are locked down via lockdown screen. Devices have no access to apps outside of what is displayed on the lock down page. Yes, I've tried Android Enterprise but it doesn't work for our environment. Especially the remote assistance part where permission is required. Before Android 10 we were able to roll out APKs and silently install without issue. As we are all aware, when running some apps for the first time, users will be prompted for Location, Storage, Camera, etc. access before use. The problem is, when the device is Locked Down, users can't accept those permissions. Device admins must unlock the device, accept the permissions then lock the device. But even if the user could accept these permissions, they may tap the wrong answer making the apps useless, especially when it comes to location. How do we work around this? It is imperative that when we add or update apps, that our technicians can pick up their devices and get to work without having to deal with prompts and unlocks. If anyone can shed light on this, it would be greatly appreciated. If possible, I'd like to keep answers limited to the SOTI environment only without having to introduce 3rd party solutions mixed in.

    Installation issue of Enterprise application

Hi, I'm using SOTI cloud server v14.4.9 with Samsung Xcover4s devices enrolled with Android Enterprise agent (14.5.3.1017) and which are on Android 10 version. I tried to push an apk through application catalog / "Enterprise Applications" type but it seems like the apk isn't transmitted to devices. If I check logs of devices I can see the line below: Device is missing mandatory application As I set the application as mandatory I should get the apk on SOTI agent menu of the device under "Application catalog" menu but nothing appears. I tested to install manually the same apk directly on the device with usb cable and it works. This is the first time I try to push an apk through "Enterprise application", when the apk is available on PlayStore I used to go through "Managed Google Play" and then the apk are pushed correctly. Could someone help me with this issue? Thanks

    Packaging split APK files

Has anyone managed to create and deploy a package where the application has split apk'sThese are android+ devices, we manage the installs via packaging the apk and deploying them to the devices, We do not use google playstore nor application catalogue My normal process I installed an app from the playstore on one device, that ensures it is compatible and it works. I then use ADB to extract the apk from that device. I package the apk in package studio, import it to SOTI and deploy it to my estate. However, I have found that the latest release of the app, is now in 4 files base.apk split_config.armeabi_v7a.apk split_config.en.apk  split_config.tvdpi.apk I have tried adding them all to a package, but I get an IO Error when i try to deploy package via a profile The device giving me the IO Error previously had the application installed but since been uninstalled. I would assume that the installation order of the split apks are important, but I am not certain what is the correct order or how to set which order they are installed in package studio I would assume that the base apk would need installing first then the split_ files in turn The question is more, has anyone successfully installed and application with split apk's using mobicontrol? Searching the web, there are 3rd party apps such as SAI Split APK Installer which can install them, but that is not a solution for me. I want to use SOTI Mobicontrol to do it Thanks in advance for any info Edited to clarify
