Scripts not working

Hello,

I'm using Soti Xsight for remote controlling our Mobicontrol devices. Mobicontrol and Xsight are installed on prem in the newest versions.

Now when I use Xsight and click the three dots to send for example: "Turn Kiosk Mode Off" I get an error message "Error: Error sending the Disable Kiosk Mode action".

Sendings this from Mobicontrol UI is working fine. Some time ago both ways were working just fine. The last change I can remember was setting up the SSL connection for Mobicontrol.

Hope you have an idea.

Hi Thomas,

To help us understand your situation better, could you kindly provide some more details about the issue you're facing? Information such as:

  • Version of MobiControl and Xsight.
  • Are you able to use script in kiosk? try script : notify kiosk on|off.
  • Are you able to bypass kiosk mode when you are using Admin mode?

Hi, 

sorry for my late answer. 
Soti Xsight is on Version 24.0.2.599
Soti Mobicontrol ist on Version 2024.1 Build 1052

Out of the Mobicontrol WebUi I can use Turn Kiosk Mode off with no Problems.
Only when I'm remote on a device using Xsgiht an click the three dots chosing turn kiosk mode off and other scripts I get the following error.

In previous Version this just worked with no Problems.

I attached an Image showing the message. It pops up when Turn Kiosk Mode Off is or on is pressed. When I send a script there's no message, but the script is not working. 

It seems Xsight Remote has no access to run scripts anyore.
Direct from Mobicontrol both works fine.
