Cloud SOTI using 802.1X SCEP on Internal RADIUS Servers

Does anyone know if there's a way to allow a cloud instance of SOTI to use 802.1x on internal RADIUS servers? I use a SCEP template for a wireless profile and I'm getting a error message stating "Failure to Query template" on the device's when pushing the profile. Does the query come from the device or server? I've had a ticket in for weeks and no resolution yet.

Hi kmart,

to use certificates on MobiControl Cloud.
You need to set up the Cloud Link Agent.
Therefore some steps need to be set up by the SOTI Support and from your side.
Afterwards you can configure the certificate you want to use.

I assume what you are really trying to do is configure Soti so it can issue certificates to devices for use in an 802.1x WiFi profile.

1.  Have you configured and verified your Certificate Authority setup?

2.  Is the Certificate Authority (CA) on the internal network or a cloud service?

3. Did you use the ADSC or Generic SCEP?

4.  Have you created and validated the Certificate Template configuration.

If your CA is internal, you will need the ability for Soti to communicate to it through your network security perimeter (e.g.  Firewalls\DMZ\Etc.)  Cloud Link is a means of doing that.

Once you get your connection to the CA up and verified, then you can configure the wifi profile

Thank you for posting on SOTI Pulse!

What ticket do you have with Soti Support? What is the progress of the case? Feel free to ping me the case number directly.

Appreciate it everyone! I shifted the devices to my internal instance to get around the cloud deployment server queries an internal radius server.
