Hi all,
I would like to delete a stored WLAN from the device without having to dial the device.
Is there a script to do this?
These are Samsung Galaxy Xcover 5 devices with Android 13.

How was the wireless network originally configured on the device? If you used SOTI to push out the network settings via a Profile then unassigning/ revoking the Profile will have the effect of deleting /forgetting the saved network on the device. If you did not use SOTI to first configure the network on the device you could push out the network settings redundantly via a Profile so that they are being managed by SOTI and then unassign or revoke the Profile to have it removed. There may also be some options using Samsung Knox, but I am less familiar with what is available there.
Hi Matt,
Unfortunately, this is the same problem as with Raymond. I will now look into Samsung Knox and see if I can get it to work.
There is no generic script to clear ALL (managed or non-managed) or a wildcard list of Wifi configurations. If a device user has previously input and saved the SSID/credential of his own Wifi connection on a device, the only way to make this particular connection unusable is to deploy an extra Wifi profile payload with the same SSID but different password or other parameters to override the unauthorized Wifi settings, and then have such Wifi profile revoked However, knowing the existence of such unauthorized SSID/SSID's on a REMOTE device require extra effort or some additional software tool/app to achieve efficiently.
After cleaning up all such unauthorized Wifi connections, maybe the "Wifi Management" feature control option should be set to "none" to disallow any new unauthorized connections to be added by any end-user again.
Hi Raymond,
Unfortunately, this did not lead to success. It understood that the profile with the WLAN should be deleted, but the device remains connected to the WLAN.
As soon as I change the WLAN on the device itself, the device no longer knows the password of the WLAN to be deleted.
So I have to go to the devices and change it manually.
That's strange because i can verify that if you push a Wifi configuration profile providing a Wifi with the same SSID (and a random wrong password) the conneciton will fail and it will disconnect.
Also i can verify what Matt already told you, if you then revoke that profile from the device it will forgett/remove the Wifi configured in this profile.
